Unfortunately this thread's growth rate has really slowed.

Because people are bored with it as everything has been said already.

We could talk about moderation and why other threads get closed when they get to this state yet this one remains active.

Because it's all political bullshit which is proven by the biased selective moderation being done in these forums.

Fixing something means it was broken. What I wrote was not broken. You are welcome to say something else if that is what you feel, but please do not change something I wrote into something different. That is fundamentally dishonest as you are attributing a statement to me that I did not make.

That said, who are you to judge if a person feels remorse or not? Would you want people to treat you as if your apology is fake if you make one?

That is a high moral ground you are putting yourself on. I sincerely hope you are as perfect as you imply you are. Then and again, given that you misrepresent what I said probably not P

If I made an apology like that and people believed me, then I would think people are pretty dumb.

The Mittani thinks people are pretty dumb. Coincidence?

right... let me say it again as you missed it the first time:

Quote:
A sociopath is a person who has antisocial personality disorder. The term sociopath is no longer used to describe this disorder. The sociopath is now described as someone with antisocial personality disorder.

The main characteristic of a sociopath is a disregard for the rights of others. Sociopaths are also unable to conform to what society defines as a normal personality. Antisocial tendencies are a big part of the sociopath’s personality. This pattern usually comes into evidence around the age of 15. If it is not treated, it can develop into adulthood.

Visible symptoms include physical aggression and the inability to hold down a steady job. The sociopath also finds it hard to sustain relationships and shows a lack of regret in his or her actions. A major personality behavior trait is the violation of the rights of others. This can appear as a disregard for the physical or sexual wellbeing of another.

Although these symptoms are all present, they may not always be evident. Research has shown that the sociopath is usually a person with an abundance of charm and wit. He or she may appear friendly and considerate, but these attributes are usually superficial. They are used as a way of blinding the other person to the personal agenda behind the sociopath’s behaviour.

Many people with antisocial personality disorder frequently indulge in alcohol or drug use.

The US for ONE

Its called Cyberbullying and if needed I can yet again get those definitions (including the one that says "when it involves adults is accompanied with jail time)
and YES, in the US its illegal (Arizona especially).

Which makes me wonder when playing EVE will become a crime

Arizona's Cyberharassment law is at Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 13-2921.

Most other states either have a Cyberstalking or Cyberharassment law, or both.

Federal Cyberstalking law is found at 47 USC s. 223.

For the most part, the states are the ones doing enforcement of the cyberstalking and harassment laws, though.

I don't know the laws in other countries, but I would imagine that at least some of the EU countries have cyber laws.

Presumably this copy/paste definition (prolly from wikipedia) was to inform us that ingame behaviour mirrors RL personality?

May one ask, does your forum avatar represent the real you?

Or for that matter, would you speak to someone IRL the way you do on these forums?

Let's keep this rhetoric chain running...

Was Hannibal the Cannibal (a fictional character for the scrubs) justified in eating "the free range rude"?

Interesting. I'd not realised your laws covered something said at a public gathering in a different country. And that is then treated as "cyberbullying". Surely that should just be "bullying". He didn't say anything in-game or through an electronic medium.

But okay.

Sigurd Sig Hansen wrote:

No, but I'm human enough to accept a person's apology and to treat others as I would like to be treated. Maybe old fashioned, but I tend to respect people and their actions and I don't let blind hatred cloud my mind.

I'm guessing that swooshing sound was my comment flying right over your tiny little head. No worries though, maybe somebody will come along and explain the difference between video games and reality to you soon.

I can call someone for you. Perhaps one of those men with the little white coats?

thats one...

Quote:
Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. By definition, it occurs among young people. When an adult is involved, it may meet the definition of cyber-harassment or cyber-stalking, a crime that can have legal consequences and involve jail time.

Thats two...

Quote:
Cyberbullying can be defined as "willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices."

Thats three... none are wikis btw...

"Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that takes place using an electronic medium.

The term bullying has been defined in different ways by experts in the field. Many use a definition from Olweus, a pioneering researcher on bullying, which states, "...a student is being bullied or victimized when he is exposed repeatedly and over time to negative actions on the part of one or more other students" (Olweus 1993, 9). Other researchers have maintained that bullying involves an intention to hurt the victim, and a power differential between bully and victim (Pepler et al. 1997, 2; Coloroso 2002, 13). Most experts now agree that bullying must include these four features:

Negative or hurtful behaviour: The behaviour of the bully is negative or hurtful to the victim. The bullying behaviour can range from nonverbal aggression, such as stares and teasing, to serious physical assaults. It can be direct or indirect; indirect bullying comprises behaviours that covertly cause distress to the victim, such as gossip, spreading of rumours, or encouraging others to exclude a person (Pepler et al. 1997, 2).
Intent to harm: The bully means to inflict emotional and/or physical harm on the victim.
Imbalance of power: The bully is more powerful (either real or perceived power) than the victim. The power differential in bullying may arise from differences in size and stature, but also from higher social status, a knowledge of vulnerabilities, or from the number of children colluding with the bully (Pepler et al. 1997, 2).
Repeated over time: The negative behaviour towards the victim occurs repeatedly."

[The last one would be true given he's getting multiple people to do his dirty work for him (unless of course you think that doesnt count, in which case youd then think Charles Manson is innocent as he didnt kill ppl, he got ppl to kill them for him).]

Thats Four...

"Cyberbullying is harassment or intimidation of another person through electronic means. Those means may be email, instant messages, blogs, websites, social networking sites, text messages, and telephones. The intent of the cyberbully is hostile and negative."

It can also be called Cyber Stalking and Cyber Harassment as Ive so far read

"May one ask, does your forum avatar represent the real you?

Or for that matter, would you speak to someone IRL the way you do on these forums?"

My forum avatar is an alt and yeah pretty much. And yes, I would, and argue with people that dont disagree with me IRL as well as on a forum. I dont think Ive overly gotten psychotic YET in this thread. Also, Mind you, did I ever say I was SANE? Or does My having mental issues therefore make his being what he appears to be any less true (given I dont think there is any such thing AS sane any longer nowadays)?

Note to self. Killing another player in a video game designed to kill other players is "cyber-bullying". I should let all my fellow players know they're not allowed to discuss a campaign. Heck, we should probably warn the Goons their Burn Jita campaign is cyber bullying.

At least according to ^^ that poor guy.
