Weird, I'm pretty sure this event thread used to be stickied?

In any event, *bump*.

The evening of the 5th is the bar crawl, the actual convention will be the 6th and 7th. We recommend flying in the night of the 5th though since the events will start around 10am.

I can agree that flying in the day of is rough.. so is flying out the next morning. WTF was i thinking of. All I can say is that I'm glad that I thought of setting my alarm on Saturday afternoon because I was in no condition to remember my name come Saturday night.

Of course, it might have had something to do with the 8-9 bottles of corona I chugged in the last row of the conference. Just saying.
(At least they were light beers.. gotta watch those calories!)

Also, open bar that night didn't help either.

Is there an itinerary for the 3 days?

What is the package rate going to be if you want to stay at the Paris Hotel?

How late are things going to run on Sunday?

Hi Jake,
Friday night is the pub crawl, saturday and sunday are speakers 6 CCP devs and 6 players. I'm waiting for final authorization from CCP this week to release the devs names. The dev break down is 4 Eve related and 2 Dust related.

Looking at $129 a night for the paris and $89 a night for Bally's. I haven't announced these details widely or open ticket sales as I'm waiting for the group reservation code from the casino.

Last year we ran until 1pm, I am looking at pusing this to 2 or 3pm depending on how the speaker slots fill out for total time needed.

So flying in early evening Friday, and heading out Sunday night is doable then.

I would suggest flying in Thursday night actually....there will *possibly* be a locals get together along with some early attendees. We had a blast that night as well at "insert coin" and other places.

Zappa, you are a good man...even if you are a goonie. Keep it up.

Hold on... there are two different hotels with group rates? And over the course of three nights, staying at Bally's is like sleeping one night for free.

So.. is it like playing drunk frogger to get from Paris to Bally's?

Personally, it was rather convenient to simply ride up an elevator and pass out after Saturday night verses trying to navigate a road to get into Bally's.

What would a local recommend?

You should have no problem going to or from each hotel. They are right beside each other. And at the end of the day im sure plenty of people will be headed that way aswell.

Ballys and Paris share a hallway, you don't even have to go outside to go between the hotels...Paris is nicer rooms and on the strip, so it is whatever you want to do.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't mind Paris last year, although as far as a hotel is concerned, the bed was average. I asked because I always wonder why some place 'next door' is considerably cheaper... there has to be a reason.

In choices of beds, my location is always which is the easiest way to get back to. I had a awesome spot in Iceland, no matter which bar I ended up at the end of the night, it was all down hill back to my room. So the cheaper place which may not be the most direct route home sounds good enough due to being connected by a hallway, thats top notch!
