I love this new feature, and have a great addition for you devs. Can we also get information while we are engaged that tells us what our friendy falcons have jammed.......that would be extremely useful.

I like it, it's smooth. But I think the information on time / quantity needs to be better displayed, I would suggest on the icons themselves...

Also, if we could get one for other remote effects such as friendly sensor boosting, and better yet, remote repairs, then that would be awesome.

Edit: I originally thought about the rings too, but then decided I like having the time remaining shown, although not to a completely nonsensical number of decimal figures. 1 will be fine, and the best way of ensuring that text is clear to read is to put it on a background, might as well be a bar.

That's a pretty sweet new feature.

A really awesome tweak would be if you could ctrl-click on the names that appear when you right click the icon to target the hostile. Anything that reduces the number of nested menus required in combat would be really good.

I'd really like to see warp scrambling and warp disrupting seperated out into different icons - the 2 effects are very different nowadays. Other than that, cool for a first iteration.

Yes I second this. There are many situations where I want to know who is preventing me from using my mwd.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

Since the effects bar is a part of the general HUD and you can't move it separately, is there a chance that could be changed in the future. I've seen a few other people here mention they have their targets show up where I do so I'm not the only one effected

One thing I would like to see added is warp disruption field indicators to both the overview and the debuff bar. Sometimes it is difficult to see if you are really out of a bubble or not (without trying to warp) and when there are multiple DIC/HIC/Anchored bubbles on the field it would be nice to also know WHO is bubbling you via the overview icon and a right click menu on the debuff bar.

Were you ever scrambled or affected by ewar and tried desperately to find the pilot(s) providing you with that much virtual ewar love so that you can return the favour with deadly missiles, drones or gunfire? Did you ever fail to spread your love due to icons being very small in the overview?

Then rejoice and read this devblog by CCP karkur and learn more about the first version of the new effects bar, released in the upcoming Escalation!

NO, NO, and NO!

I watched the video and this is going to make for more problems than it's worth! You seriously think I want timers and icons right in the MIDDLE of my screen while I'm fighting NPC's and other players? NO! no I don't!

Icons on the overview is RIGHT where I like them, out of the way and OUT of my sight. All I can say is that if my screen turns into an icon and timer bar with no option to turn this BAD IDEA off I'm out! and gone for good!

I absolutely love this, but what about positive effects? As a logi pilot it would be nice to know if the cap chain is suddenly broken, etc.

About time, I dont know how (new) EVE players managed without for all these years.
I'll never forget the first time my ship didn't warp out because I got scrammed and didn't get any notification about it, because the TAG column is turned off by default.

Let's say you have a choice between two different versions of this system: A as it stands now on Singularity (per devblog and video) and B that would include more features and functionality; but then at different times since more development would be needed for B, you can get A on 24 Apr but could get B at some later time (and you would not get A during that time).

Why would you pick B?

It is understandable why players who don't know about CCP background on iterating whould pick A, but it's more interesting why wouldn't you pick B over A as a developer?

It's OK to deploy complex changes to EVE ecosystem in a few steps but using same scheme for minor interface improvements like this just hurts your professional image imho. Most if not all of player feedback you get here is just so obvious that you should had those ideas incorporated in the first concepts from the beginning. And with the patches just mere weeks apart one from another there should be no problems with deployment delay - it's not a game-breaking issue or exploit fix.

Because it makes more sense to us to come up with a staged future design, implement the first stage, get that first stage into the hands of the players, get feedback, validate or modify the later stages, repeat. Players get something tangible and valuable sooner and we get data and other feedback to iterate on the future design.

Obviously you guys have plenty of time to fix old issues since you keep adding new issues...any chance we can get our date added back to the lower left corner?
