I, like many can and do tolerate the non-tweak-able interface, the weak missioning design, the waiting for 10yrs to max all skills, ship designs without symmetry or practicality, gankers, griefers, being trapped in a station in a month because my corpies are too scared of a coordinated undock or fear giving a no-nothing corp kill-mail at the cost of isk (ended up splitting up the corp because some yahoo had nothing better to do than wardec repeatedly{Put a timmer on that guys!}), alliances without balls or wit to organize the corps under them... but there is one thing that keeps me off of the game more than anything else, the music. Yes I can put my own music in the game but I come here to get away from my mundane world. When I am on EvE I want to be in it, not some mid point due to disgust. It is like some jerk sitting next to you on a cell phone cursing at his mom it up during a romantic love scene when some of these songs come on.

Does anyone agree with me?

Does CCP have any interest in the art of sound or do they like their first impression dictating that they are boobs whom can not think for themselves.

Never expected CCP to dress themselves up as an infantile corp with that Inferno Intro, especially after that nice keynote..
Space Music guys, the adventure, wonder, and romance of space. Not this pointless obsession with suicide noise, it is like your whining like spoiled children.

Am I wrong in thinking EVE'ers play EVE because they want to be the best they can be? The best pirate, the best ganker, the best friend, the best jerk, the best passivist, the best narcissist, the best hero, the best mission runner, the best alliance, the best miner, the best explorer, the best commander, the best scammer, the best thief, the best industrialist, the best economist, the best entrepreneur, and much more through the best media. (EVE is working to be that media btw.) Then shouldn't the music reflect that awesomeness? Shouldn't the music teach the new and remind the old why EVE is worth the money, tolerance and struggle? It is not just about the two thousand plus player verses player battles, it is not just about market games, team work, solo life, the friends or the enemies, etc., etc.

It is about the romance of potential.

Currently the music screams that there will never be potential because the music deemed valuable enough to put in the game shows what CCP really thinks of EVE and the people that play it. Childish and incompetent in real life. Please replace the last 45 songs mentioned above, at the very least remove them. As EVE'ers say, if you the player doesn't like it, they can play their own music if you don't like the lack of choices. At least EVE will be rid of music that condemns them in the majority's eye. (majority being noobs gauging whether or not EVE is worth the money then leaving behind the psychos trolls that like the crap and suck CCP profits nearly dry) Finally, don't forget to burn the bridge between CCP and the one who decided to put that Inferno login theme song in place. Crucible is bad enough, starts fine then sings about how pathetic life is in the creator's eye.

(Say what you want CCP, it is a sub-conscious thing, you can't take back what you've already said with your music.)

.. What sold me on EVE? Pure perfection. Never have I seen a more accurate description of a space adventure, sandbox like, gaming potential. The piece spoke volumes about the potential and limitations of EVE Online with perfect symmetry. Poetry and motion in harmony.

This does not mean repeat the same style over and over. In other words lay of the 1980's Casio electric keyboard and for crying out loud think about the music in relation to the application! The music should suck one into the moment, pull them into the world of EVE as it is and will be with a force that cannot be defended against. The promise of potential that EVE really offers.

If your having trouble understanding then listen to masters of entertainment and get yourself out of that mindless-drone funk teens believe is unique.

Remember the age demographic of real EVE players, the real doers and movers that can and will make your world shine.

Can't you imagine 10 million players on EVE at one time? Can you imagine the income? Don't know about you but it seems like a simple feet with the EVE platform in just a few years, and that's being lazy about it.

:| I can't say I support this at all. Everyone likes different music, the ONLY thing that objectively makes any music better than another is the amount of effort one person put into it. Because like any art, it is completely worthless except for the entertainment it provides to people.

Someone might like the EVE music in there! For those that don't they can replace it. You've even said this yourself. You just want them to switch the default music to something that you like.

Why the **** are you still playing EVE?

I like a few of the songs on the playlist...but some of the songs that play during missions are amazing. Wish they'd be on the playlist.

And yes, some more music variety would be amazing...but I don't *hate* the current music, and if I'm on voice, it's off anyways.
