Other game "Borrowing" Eve art...

Because I love space strategy games I recently downloaded this $9.99 app for my Ipad called "Galaxy Empire"... basically an online RTS for Ipad.

Browsing through the menus and selecting ships, I was baffled to find that Galaxy Empire's bomber art was a cut and paste of the beloved Drake. Same for the Legion and the Abaddon...

Pretty shameless tbh... Anyone ever come across anything similar?

There was a book a while ago that had myrms on it and a year or two ago one of my friends found a 4th of July fireworks thing called the Galaxy Buster with an abaddon on it.

Also the latest thing was that Saturday Night Live's latest "Laser Cats" video features a Hel landing in "Future New York"

Wasnt there something called Battle for Serios that is stealing EVE stuffs?

Mining is the "Deadliest Catch" in this game

Heads up...I found a game called Light of Nova. The character creator for the game is a portrait. The portraits are taken from the carbon character creator of CCP. Ran into it on facebook. The advertisement for it labeled as "web eve".

I remember that. Also this.

Thing about EVE is that it is not incredibly well known like Star wars and Star Trek but a lot of the Ships are beautiful, powerful and unique.

The Freelancer mod "Discovery" uses EVE stuff for mining equipment and pictures of various ores.

Some people seem to think the Hurricane looks like a Star Destroyer in that they are both Triangular.

I think it is to thin at the sides and the top is to triangular though to make a good comparison.

Cormorant reminds me a bit of a Terran Battlecruiser.

There are also a few X3 mods out there that use EVE models.

Which also reminds me of an asgard ship.

So by transitive property, cormorants are related to asgard ships.

SUE SUE SUE

But on a serious note, I do believe the hurricane and Ravager from KOTOR 2 look quite similar. Also SWTOR has Frigates that are smaller and slimmer that are more similar to the cane. However they're white.

Indeed. And everyone seemed to miss the point of my Star Wars post too, and were like, "omg cane doesn't look identical to star destroyer!" Roll instead.
Give me a minute and I could find an Avatar which Homeworld borrowed from EVE.

There is a big difference between inspired by design and ripping of art from the client or website.

I can't see how people thing they'll get away with it, especially if its an payable app on a well known platform (like Ipad)
