Dual Boxing AFK Missioners (Drone Boats)?

I'm looking for a couple dual boxing fits for mission running. I've got one ishtar that afks missions like no one, but the dps output is low compared to the speed of my tengu for example, but I've got to be aware when running that. I work when in front of my PC nearly 14-16 hours a day, so I can't dedicate a whole lot of time to just Eve when I've got to talk to clients, write some code, design some web elements, etc.

So I'm looking for a decent dual setup for a couple ishtars or ishtar/rattlesnake/domi or any combo of the above where I can fly in, drop a can, orbit and let the drones loose without having to worry about losing my tank. I know I could do this by simply dualing my current ishtar build (dual mar) but I'm sure I could maximize DPS with a remote rep build. A logi/dps drone boat is also something doable.

So, anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

It really depends what you have available to you.

A couple of passively fit Ishtars (shield tanked) will tank most missions for you with a 1k+ tank when properly fit (don't even have to move). That's about 467 DPS max with ogres (sentries 450 with garde IIs) each.

If you want something that can AFK but will do more if you look at it, you can fit a dominix with 5-6 guns. I typically use 6 guns with 2 control range rigs (i'm maxxed electronic warfare drones though) which gives me enough control range that the drones can do their thing. The tank will be a little tighter; but with two domis you can run 10 sentries and a total of 10-12 guns. You can run a tank of approximately 600 with a nice faction LAR and one of each hardener, and still be putting out 850 DPS each (3x mag stabs, 2x omnis mids, 1-2x tracking computer). This takes a little more maintenance than the ishtars though.

Really though, I prefer using ishtar/tengu; ishtar goes in if I need to afk for a bit, lets drones sweep. When i have a few minutes, i throw in the tengu and use sentries assisted on the tengu (or just throw out hobgoblins to deal with frigates).

If you're looking for absolutely minimal interaction, I would start with dual ishtars (passive shield fit) and work up to dual rattlesnakes (passive shield fit, and you can use cruises/torps if you want to do a tiny bit of extra damage when you're watching). You can pull the entire room, trigger everything, and then just orbit your can and let your Ogres slowly kill everything in the room.

Appreciate the reply. ISK and skills aren't too tight. I have 1 toon that can fly a tengu, a couple that can fly caldari/gal bs's or a macharial, and a couple ishtar pilots. Possibly a couple domi's or rattlesnakes (even with fof missiles for added afk dps when I can't actively pay attention to my targets) would be the best route, although I do love the ishtars.

How often are you going to look after your ships? I realized, that there are not many missions where drones don't get aggro from new Spawns.
So if you can look at your ships every 3-5 Minutes you could use two FOF Tengus. You will get around 1200 DPS with a capstable tank. I tried it and it was ok, if you are willing to reload every now and then.

Not sure if its allowed to use a keyboard that is doing the reload - F1 job for you.

Your drones won't aggro a target unless it attacks you. So the second drone boat will be pretty much worthless.

you can command drones to defend. occasionally drones will go after different targets though
