I am very glad the game added the option to trade in a lot of other systems.

You should try it.

Actually no, it wasn't. Burn Jita was originally going to happen to celebrate Mittani getting >10000 votes for CSM.

CCP's response to Burn Jita is the most appropriate and level-headed.

They will reinforce the node.

Interesting mechanic to implement if a player repeatedly ganks in a single system...

30 day system ban by CONCORD enforcement for excessive criminal activities over a short period of time (TBD).

You have any idea how many accounts you are talking about? It won't just be Goons. All CFC.

I don't seen CCP banning almost 40,000 accounts any time soon... That's a lotta cash to lose.

CCP will load balance, and then enjoy all the free press they are gonna get about this player driven event..

If the servers crash it's no ones fault but CCP, they have had a month of warning of where it was gonna take place, ample time to reinforce the node.

If CCP was gonna take action, it would have been weeks ago.. They aren't.. they are gonna sit back and watch.. Any action they take against this would blow up in their face, as much of the Eve community, for or against Goons, sees Nothing wrong with this player driven act.. Not only that, but they warned everyone a month ahead of time that it's gonna happen. There's no excuse for getting caught up in it.. No excuse for not knowing about it.

I dont know why so many people have their panties in a wad about DekCo and Jita. There are other trade hubs that you can buy your stuff at.

TL;DR

Avoid Jita.

So for two days people are less likely to clog Caldari space and the trade routes to other hubs might be less camped. Game's a sandbox, I hope that CCP does nothing for all the people who choose to not stay informed nor act intelligently when CFC decides to flex their numbers and essentially stop Jita trade.

Edit: it's only one system, there are ways around it, and unless "Jita" extends to gatecamps in adjacent systems, you should be able to go anywhere else without CFC problems in highsec.

fyi, people dont suicide gank people in drakes and jita is on its own node so the lag wouldnt effect any other system.

Another threads insinuating blanket bans of every player in an alliance a particular player or group of players dislike. Why does high-sec pubbie filth continually imagine that 0.0 alliances are hive minds where every player does exactly the same thing. Many members of the Clusterfuck Coalition will be in Jita strangling the system, not all of us will be; but let's just go ahead and ban them all anyway. Collateral damage am I right? Its okay if it happens to people who happen to play in an alliance I dislike for nebulous reasons I can't quantify.

Given the that Jita sits in a node all its own its already at the maximum potential "reinforce" that can be applied to a system in Eve-Online. That being the case, CCP doesn't have to do anything but sit back and watch, which hopefully will be all they do. It would be a shame if they had to go and prove that they've changed with their recent business partnerships and all.

I imagine the last thing any of the filth want is for Mittens to be proven right.

Edit: I take that back. Ideally what CCP should do is have Concord blap the crap out of us for a few days just to say they showed the flag, then have Concord fall back under the unending stream of Tornadoes jumping into system. Cap it off with Jita being set to 0.4 security and making the stations destroyable, along with all the crap in them. Jita left a wasteland in the end with all sorts of Chronicles and made up news articles and CCP having a huge marketing gimmick to exploit. This will never happen but sometimes when I dream...

Getting system set to low security would also simplify players wanting to fight back. They could go after all of us preemptively instead of being able to only shoot the -5.0 or lower dread pirates. No that high-sec filth would ever have the stones to attack a target that can fight back but you get the idea.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

You can fire at the monument outside the Jita 4-4 undock without invoking Concord. Of course hundreds of us doing that would only Tidi the system not crash it. Scooter lives in a world where spamming "FoFoFoFo" in local chat lags the server.

Hm... Doing something to specifically cause either lag or server crash is a bannable offense, has been for quite some time, and continually enforced by CCP. How would they know? Because with any halfway decent programmer, when the system crashes they get a nice little report of what was going on so they can fix the crash. Just like how CCP finds RMT's, and people who buy isk. CCP isn't stupid guys.

Like if you were to jettison 5k corpses to blot out someone's overview and cause their client (or server) to lag, that is banable.

But it is extremely unlikely that there will be a (lawl) alliance wide ban happening. The server will crash, CCP will announce that said action is a bannable offense, give out warning, and if people continue to proceed, will be banned. Same as with any other situation. CCP is not going to step up and protect Jita, they are going to protect the integrity of their game (ie not allowing people to cause the game/system to lag/fail intentionally).

I would LOVE to see Jita randomly put to 0.4 sec at random weeks of the year. With no preadvice of course so all the stuff inside will be trapped. Hmm Hmmmmm!

So a large 0.0 alliance decides to disrupt Empire trade.

Sounds like emergent gameplay to me. CCP will do nothing, except if it starts impacting the infrastructure service for other players.

Nobody cares that the reason the alliance does it, is because they are butthurt teenagers, and not because they aren't lolRPing.

whether you want to accept it or not. its player driven content. which is a good thing.

they would be stupid to interfere in any way unless it seriously renders their game unplayable (server crashing)
which wont happen
