Not that I've seen, either in the Fan Fest broadcasts or the follow-up dev blogs / interviews.

What was removed was the issue where after undocking, you could web a freighter right after it started it's warp drive, in a way that prevent it from being able to either stop, or warp off.

How does that work?

Webbing a fleeted Freighter slows down (changes) the "Max Speed" of the Freighter to a speed that is SLOWER than the Freighter is ALREADY moving. Freighter instantly enters warp.

Indeed it mathematically slowed them to a negative speed, so they could not enter Warp, OR Dock due to being already in 'pre-warp'.

Because the fenrir has better agility than the charon.

Better agility means you enter warp faster. I assume the faster traveling speed makes up for having less cargo.

This was a problem years ago. Capital Ship Assembly arrays used to be 900K M3 packed and you needed to get freighter to 5 to put one in a Fenrir or Provi. It was quicker to train Charon to 4 than train Fenrir to 5 so they changed Cap ship assembly to 850 packed.

As people point out, Fenrir aligns to 75% faster and that makes it a good high sec freighter. Once you take them out of High sec, use them to move capital parts and use webs to push them, Charon difference can cut maybe a load off to setting up a Super Carrier build.

I have 2 uses for it though.
Main use is to get the most in and out of WH space ( pos, battleship, pos fuel, some modules for the pos and other small stuff and the the minerals outwards )
The second use, is to haul the stuff to the most profitable place, that is not to far away ( usually that's Jita ).

Welp, THAT's about to be interrupted for a bit. P

It's not an Exploit, it's a Mechanic.

And just WHERE did you read this ? Doubtful this is being looked at, as they are more concerned with true exploits like the Boomerang.

you are talking about different things

webbing freighter so it warps faster - perfectly ok

webbing freighter so it doesn't warp at all yet cannot cancel warp - exploit

.

We know this. There is no confusion. You misread what was typed.

Warps faster too, it's the faster of them all.

That's odd, I thought they all warped at 0.75au/s.

Edit: Those few seconds difference while waiting to reach warp can really add up over time. If I want to warp faster I could just have someone else web me though.

+agillity = +speed = warps faster or get in warp faster if you really want to play with words or have hard time understanding my very bad English writing ...

I wonder how fast and how much time I would save with a full set of Nomad implants and a Fenrir/Nomad.

Uhm, a volley of 12 tornados? what? how big are the odds of that happening in faction space?

Try it and see. Twisted

They used to use 8 - 10 Apocs. This is much cheaper.

So.... you guys are effectively telling me, that 12 guys ( or 1 guy with 12 accounts, or 2 guys with..........) would be so lifeless, that they would sit around a high-sec stargate in a t3 BC, hoping for a freighter to pass through?

Seriously though, i have never ever ever ever ever witnessed anything like that.
