Very basic question about Pyroxeres

So last night (around 06:00 EVE time) I literally searched every belt in Verge Vendor for Pyroxeres that was displayed at the site: http://eve-online.itemdrop.net/eve_db/universe/search/?security_from=1&security_to=-1&ore[]=1224&regions[]=10000068&constellation[]=Any&belt_from=&belt_to=&field_from=&field_to=&sta_from=&sta_to=&stargate_from=&stargate_to=

Not one had any Pyrox roids. I figured some crew had done a very complete mining op so decided to login in at 11:30 (my morning) after downtime (presuming that still happens at 11:00 EVE time???). I'm checking my second solar system not and still not a single Pyrox roid.

What am I doing wrong? Is the web-site wrong? Wasn't there a downtime today?

Thanks in advance!

not every ore respawns every downtime. as far as i know only veldspar does that. other ores will only respawn every 2,3 or 4 days.

please note i havn;t tested this in the last year or so.

There is no Pyrox in Gallente space (Verge, Essence, Sinq, Syndicate, etc).

You can however get Pyrox in Amarr space (IIRC, 0.8 on down) and/or Caldari space (same).

This grid has where you can find all the empire ores:

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Incorrect ... there is no Pyrox in standard belts .. the same is true for Minmatar space.
However.. it does occur in grav belts and it does occur in exploration sites scannable with a standard scanner .. I was mining some just last night..

The information is not Incorrect. The word you are looking for is INCOMPLETE.

Also, OP may find this chart conveniently shows the Empire Ores : http://wiki.eveonline.com/wikiEN/images/e/e0/Ore_grid%28dark%29.png

The Pyrox found in grav Sites is alright, but one is better off ISK-wise doing the Jaspet/Hemo/Hedberg Grav sites as they are worth a lot more than Pyrox.

For steady Pyrox, I recommend Amarr. Larger and more spread out than the over-rated, over-crowded Gank Zone called Caldari Space.

Looks like that Itemdrop site is including grav sites into what regions have what (yuck).
I find that it's easier sticking to what the belts have, than saying "well, you might be able to find some sometimes if you're lucky"...

yeah....

On second look, and IIRC, that chart even has the OLD Ice Belt Systems, before they were moved around. Even has some Ice in .8 and above systems from WAY back IIRC.

Don't use that chart.

Argh... I can't believe I read that chart wrong... even had a friend confirm pyrox in Gallente space - we both goofed.

Went to my PI system in Amarr space and found plenty in the local belts after downtime. Its now 6 hours later and its starting to disappear in those belts, but I can still find some.

Thanks all!

The fact nocxium was selling for over 1000isk a unit last night will pretty much guarantee they is no pyroxerous spare.

The site appears to use data from the old ore survey project using player submitted data. The data is incomplete, and outright wrong in some situations.

Use the information as a rough guide only.

I realized that atm you have to be "quick" after daily DT to find some Pyro, even Veld as Trit sells 6+ atm. When i logged in today in the morning (09.00 eve) belts where stripped empty, all you could find was sordite (lol). Pyro and Veld mined out, and moving two jumps to gallente even mex was gone.

Anyway, local high as hell, so it may be that the bots are back (saw the obivous hulk with 3 acolyte 1 out) as well.

Found my old link to this, and it is indeed a chart I discovered was out of date over 2 years ago for sure, when I checked out 3 systems for Ice and found none. Became very obvious.

Any way to kill that Web Page ??

Try Amarr.

I used to mine Pyrox in Purjola (.5) in reigon The Forge, and in Pakhshi (.8) in reigon Essence. I hope this helps.

It changed a year or two ago, everything respawns every day now.

Omber used to be twice a week and you'd set your clock by it for those days (back when it was the darling of hi-sec ores in '08).

There is no shortage of pyro.

Only a shortage of effort to mine it Blink

Yup. Everyone around here seems to have crawled into Grav Sites for the Zydrine.

Why mine Pyroxeres at 213iskM3 when you can mine Bistot/Crockite at 480 and 545iskM3 in null?

Same yeld double profits and with uber powerful hulks meant to mine in that harsh null sec world you take no risk Lol
