*sigh* where do I start havent logged in for approx 2-3 weeks now as no matter what I do I can't get past the splash screen, have tried reinstalling daily, manually adding some of the patches you put up in forums, disabling AV/FW, making sure computer clean of any problems, making sure drivers/DX are updated, running in compatibility mode, repair tools + making sure I have new repair tool, tried deleting random files and repairing, tried running launcher, normal .exe and the /bineve.exe

All I ever get is the splash screen, I love paying for a game I cannot play now.
The funny thing is I have not changed anything since before launcher, Before that piece of crap was released I could ALWAYS log in and NEVER ever EVERRRRR had a problem logging in...... ( I did manage to log in using launcher within the first few days it was released but now nothing)

Any help would be appreciated, It's impossible its a hardware issue especially as EVERYTHING else runs like normal on my pc but only Eve plays up.

-.-

*edit* I mean no offence to CCP but how can you release something then when it causes SO many people problems you don't remove it and fix it then re-release it when it actually WORKS? surely thats why you have a test server and mass testing?

Hi,

By the sound of your problem description, it sounds like you don't have a problem actually using or starting the Launcher. Is that correct? It sounds like you have a problem starting the EVE client and that your problem is completely unrelated to the Launcher.

Some questions:

Are you also saying that reinstalling does not resolve your problem?
Have you tried reinstalling into some other folder for example into a folder on your desktop?
Have you cleared your cache and settings?
Have you tried starting the ExeFile.exe straight from the EVE\bin directory? If so, what happens - does the ExeFile.exe just hang in the background?
What does the output in logserver.exe say if you first start logserver.exe and then attempt to start ExeFile.exe? Please paste it here or send in an eve mail to me.
Have you been in contact with customer support by filing a petition?

Please let me know and I'll do my best to assist you with finding out the issue!

ya, if you are getting to the splash screen, you are past the launcher now and are actually trying to launch the game.

good luck

This does not help.
Have you tried reinstalling into some other folder for example into a folder on your desktop?
Am trying this now, will post after it finishes.

*edit* still same

Have you cleared your cache and settings?
Yes, did not do anything.
Have you tried starting the ExeFile.exe straight from the EVE\bin directory? If so, what happens - does the ExeFile.exe just hang in the background?
Yes, it just opens the process in task manager but doesn't even show a splash screen.
What does the output in logserver.exe say if you first start logserver.exe and then attempt to start ExeFile.exe? Please paste it here or send in an eve mail to me.

too long for even 4 mails so will post here.
Have you been in contact with customer support by filing a petition? One thing I haven't done, been just trying everything I could find on every forum.

You can always try to uninstall the game and make sure all folders are deleted so nothing is left behind. Then go into the registry and remove all instances of EVE.

Worse case scenario, back up all your data and do a reformat/new OS install. Drastic but worth a shot as a last resort

That seems a bit ridiculous. I shouldn't have to reformat due to problems that were caused by bugs from CCP. After years of no problems. Especially when so many get the same problems.

Well, seeing as you haven't been able to find the fix to your problem yet, and it seems like it could be something hidden, why not try a reformat as you really want to play.

It is ridiculous but he was giving you an option of being able to play the game sooner than bouncing back and forth with devs.

I actaully do understand that, and am not ungrateful for the help but it just seems like its funny how things work for most people for ages then suddenly alot of people get exactly the same problems at the same time and we none of us should be a tad jilted after not having problems since like '06. That is why it seems ridiculous having to do so many things e.g. reformat.

I also personally can't see how it would help. when its only since the new launcher was released have my problems started.
