What does the subscription cost have to do with the time it takes to put quality videos together?

What is with all the tears? Jealousy? If you don't want the videos don't pay for them.

They put a few free videos out. I watched one and appreciate what they did. Instead of people posting here thanking them for doing that we just get tears that they are not all free.


I propbably won't subscribe but I hope they make allot of money. In fact I hope allot of third parties make allot of money for providing eve related services. Having sites like this just adds options for eve players.

Also at least in the talos video he wasn't using a booster alt.

If they had offered $5 from the beginning I guess that most of us were fine with it. The discussion is not about to "work for free". They made the videos voluntary, show them for free and then they try to sell the idea for unrealistic and overpriced $19 per months. I also would like to dream about 1.000 subsribers and make $19.000 bucks per month for just 4 days of video editing what is additionally a result of PvP fun. Not a bad idea. But people are not that stupid also to see the easy money idea for overpriced content.

Additionally the whole site re-design in bad scam-style with a very cheap advertisment video (text with voice over) made the whole thing looking totally dislikable. CCP will not allow any third party to make a lot of money with their content. Your hope will die here. In the Talos video Garmon was using another alt to fly the Talos. No booster involved. I am pretty sure he's not losing many ships because he has indeed great skills after killing thousands of ships in combat with his several chars. On the other side when I want to make a great video of solo PvP I fly as long as I have a great video where I did not die and everyone gets the impression that EVE is easy and that I am awesome (when I don't tell that I had to sacrifice ten Talos' for one nice video) Big smile

Overall the movies of Genos show that they know the game and I am sure it will inspire people to do PvP, to fly different and to learn more about regions in EVE where you find good action. But fact is: with or without these videos you have to make hundreds or thousands of kills to get that routine in left-mouse-button-micromanagement. Cool
