I thought that CCP Punkturis was winning the best dev blog contest because of that nice chart with the hello kitty watermark... but I think nothing matches an avatar destruction!! Good job!!! that was awesome!!! oh well... perhaps the destruction of a pink avatar with a hello kitty watermark???

Two...no, three.....no...four points. One mentioned before, the other(s) not...

The one mentioned: Have the timers be the same style as the ones on our modules...it seems to be in the works though....but make it a different color. Red? Blue? Pink? Something different...and thicker than the ones on our modules.

The new one: Do NOT make the icons shift as more effects come into play. Lock them into a "static location" so that they are in a bar and always in the same locations for the same effects. If I'm going to right shift on something, I don't want it moving 3 places when other effects come into play. If they are locked in position, it's much better.

Just had a third idea....that ties into the "static location" I just mentioned. If the effect isn't there, let it have a very faint version of the icon. That helps people learn the placement ahead of time. Even better, let us rearrange them so that we know where they are.

Damn....the ideas keep coming....

4) If you do the above, save the location and order to the server. I don't want to have to redo the 3 computers I play Eve on. That or make the settings exportable and importable to other systems.

How hard will it be to show mobile warp disrupter effects on the bar? They still do not show in the current sisi build and its effect icon does not show on the overviewQuestion The edge of the bubble gets lost when you have many up and you are zoomed in or zoomed out to far.

That's actually like that in the original design, but we did not have enough time to implement that right now.

Lots of great enhancement ideas in this thread; I won't repeat them and I hope CCP uses them.

One more idea: under combat conditions it's going to be difficult for the human eye to parse that text box because both player and ship names can be long or short, single or multiple words:

Jammed
Chribba in Badger Mark II (1x)
Harlequid D'Earth in Raven Navy Issue (3x)
FakenaMeisvErylongCAPs in Ibis (1x)
and 23 more

It would be much easier if this were in table form, much like a mini-overview. Have columns for player, ship, num_effects, and maybe distance, and let us interact with it as we do with the overview. More intuitive this way.

The warp disruption icon appears when we are inside a bubble?


You are probably asking why do I need to see the icon... "can't you see the bubble in the screen and if your ship is inside of it or not?"

- yes and no

1 - no when I'm zoom out
2 - yes when I'm zoom in, but in this case when I'm in the edge of the bubble, since the bubble makes this wave efffect ,we never know for sure until we press warp
3 - with this feature it will be nice to have the icon so I can see who the bubble belongs too and target it back.

Watching the video, this looks pretty slick. My only possible concern is the fact that the icons move as new ones are added/removed. I'm just wondering if it puts things in a similar situation like the overview use to be where you are trying to quickly target the guy that has you warp scrambled, but are having to chase down the icon with your shaky, fear stricken hand.

what about when 50 scorpions are jamming you? what would happen then? a 50 item dropdown menu or would it be like drones assist/guard/assign where then names show up in alphabetical subgroups?

Edit: I changed 5 to 50 like it was to be.
