anomalies - faction spawn/escalation?

so how often an anomalie will escalate or will give you faction spawn?

I have done more than 40 forsaken hubs in -0.9 system and got only one dread gurista spawn and one escalation. Is that normal?

Didn't think anoms escalated? Though I know factions spawns are rare as hell (and always seem to drop ammo + tags only lol).

Some anoms escalate, some don't. Even for the ones that do, the chance is very, very small. I believe faction spawns are a bit more frequent, but not very. And you're right, more often than not they just drop ammo & tags ;)

I have been having the same luck lately with anomolies. I just keep thinking that means I will have a heck of a lucky streak here soon What?

I got 3 faction spawns doing about 40 forlorn hubs, which struck me as being lucky (drops were 1k DG heavy missiles x2 and 1 DG explosive shield hardener, so less lucky in that regard).
When I farmed haven/sanctum as a United Front Alliance renter (around the time of the nerf, not sure if it was before or after, I never got one faction spawn as far as I can remember.)
Never once got an escalation.

I guess luck is on my side, I should have played the mega millions.

The other day with 5 anoms I got 2 escalations and 1 faction spawn.

My theory is that is has more to do with the difficulty of the anom type. Heres an example:

Angel Hub= .005% chance

Forsaken Angel hub = .01% chance

Has anyone noticed this?

It does seem that the Hidden, Forlorn, and Forsaken sites have faction spawns than the run of the mill anoms...

I would say 1/10 for the faction spawn, I have seen a lot of them, as well as their precious implants.
Escalation never.

had 2 mazes from fornlorn hubs (i think it was 100) and i think 1 or 2 faction

For high sec Anomalies I can tell you from experience, yet
faction spawn 1-2 out of 20 anomalies for a commander spawn
Escalation 1 of 100+

So I think the numbers could better for lower sec systems, especially with Escalations where are great rewards to find ;)
Can anyone confirm this?

Sounds about right to me. I reckon I've seen about 10 faction spawns in 100 complexes. Never seen an escalation - maybe they exist, maybe the wiki is just trolling me.

Edit: that's in high sec - maybe it's better lower down

Both are definitely random.


But from my experience, one in 8 to 10 sanctums escalate to a 10/10. Faction spawns are quite random, around one in 6 to 10 sanctums. Lesser anoms are less likely to have a faction spawn or esc. Anyway, faction spawns are getting crappier now, about 3 out of 5 are worthless. Escalations, on the other hand, are ok for their time vs isk reward.

Obviously the quality is better lower down. But I meant "maybe" to the quantity. Is it still ballpark of 1 in 10 of a faction battleship in nullsec? Or is it maybe more common?

Normal in that trying to accurately gage or predict something random is seemingly impossible? Sure, that's normal.

And yes, these are all "estimations, generalizations"...based on anecdotal evidence. I'm willing to bet not a single person here has any actual documented results, just things they "remember" i.e. anecdotal.
