I'm hunting for thoughts on Enyo/Ishkur.

Strengths and weaknesses of the two and thoughts on fitting them?

Enyo:

High:
Light Nuetron Blaster II x 4
Rocket Launcher II
Med:
Limited MWD
Faint Epsilon Scrambler
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor
Low:
Internal Force Field Array
Reactive Plating II
TE2 x 2
Rigs:
Hybrid Burst
Hybrid Collision

Hobgoblin II

You can fit this without implants. The thought is to get as much damage as possible in a practical manner. This fit allows the Enyo to push 300 DPS with Null overheated. You'll get 6.1km optimal and 7.2km falloff. By comparison my gank Wolf which has a Gyro II, TE II, and damage rigs will get 300 DPS overheated with close range faction ammo. The Enyo fit outdamages it up to 15km and can hit out to 20km. Both come in around 8k EHP. If you switch to faction antimatter? 364 DPS. Void? 401 DPS.

I like it because you can deal damage out at ranges that Hawks or Vengeances try to kite you at. It's weakness is obviously it's light tank. If you try to fit a tank you seriously gimp the damage potential on an Enyo which imho is it's main draw.

What're you planning on using them for? The fits will change widely depending on your intended use (you wouldn't want to take my tackle-less DED fit Ishkur into PvP, lol)

I'd recommend flying a Taranis instead if you're doing this. The point of the Enyo vs. the Blastaranis is its tank. The superior speed will negate the range difference.

I use this, and love it. Fits with no implants if you have good skills, requires pg2 or pg4 if you don't. You can also pimp it with deadspace to eliminate the need for implants.

Do not orbit -- you want to minimize transversal against frigates, so use a combination of approach and manual flight. Use CNAM or Null, depending on range. I usually pre-load CNAM. Overheat everything -- it will all last the entire fight, except the afterburner, so manage that.
When fighting bigger ships that aren't moving much, turn your afterburner off (or at least deheat it) or you'll pull too much range while orbiting. Switch to void.

I've gone the SAR route while fitting MWD, Ions, and a nos. Cap is a huge issue. Throw even a small nuet into the equation and you're screwed. I'm happy with my fit. I successfully killed a vengeance trying to kite me at 8km the other night. That is exactly the situation I designed it around. Wolves, Hawks, and Vengeances. Nomnom. CNAM hits out to 7.5 km too...

Blaster Enyo is the fast close-in gank king.
Blaster Ishkur is the Enyo with less gank, but less kitable because of drones.

Neutron enyos can hit out to the edge of scram range with null. A lot of people still seem to ignore this.

You should really test the Blarpy, less DPS (not that important) but an effective range engagement and tank just Shocked

Is there an effective Ishkur that doesn't use blasters?

Yes. Auto cannons, neut, full tackle, ab, brick tank. Get in 500m and orbit. rip **** up. Although with Barrage and your drones you can hurt kiters too.

Alternatively swap the web for a TD and you can really torment larger gun ships. I had one on top of my Deimos and i couldn't hit him at all. I had to jump out and run away.
