I noticed that also, i assumed he meant a BSc, hence my reply.

Everyone knows an Arts degree isnt a real degree. *snigger*

some universities (such as Oxbridge) award a BA degree even for science subjects.

edit: and most people with a PhD are not philosophers in any strict sense. what an outrage!

As a student reading Aerospace Engineering I fully endorse this idea.

Can sailors also get some kind of bonus to the zephyr please, like +10% velocity?

Convert #Facebook friends into social SP

Proof of purchase of a car with good MPG gives jump fuel conservation 5

Also I think OP means BEng or Meng for the engineering subjects and Bsc for Biology etc..

Looks like eve isn't the game for you, your skillset lends itself more heavily towards a tradition MMO, some kind of healer / rouge hybrid class at a guess.

Also that certificate doesn't tell your employers you aren't a pedo, all it does is tell them you haven't been caught yet.

no, just a matter of tradition - even for "hard" sciences they award a B.A. (but a M.Sci.)
(e.g. http://www.phy.cam.ac.uk/teaching/courses.php)

similar in spirit to the tradition that views most disciplines as sub-fields of philosophy and thus only awards a doctor philosophiae or PhD.

you are of course right with rgd to "social sciences" being difficult to fit into any such scheme - my own university has changed from a B.Sc. to a B.A. in Economics only recently.

People play EVE to feel smart, not to be reminded of how stupid they are in real life. Blink

But if something like that had to happen, i'd suggest basing it on IQ instead. It's no measure of intelligence to go in debt for 50k+ to get a degree, and still be going nowhere in life.

I think you should've gone to a proper university, not the University of Life and awarded yourself a million PhDs.

Just make your certificates public?

Or perhaps, better to keep them hidden so no one knows quite what or who they are dealing with.

I have no need to brag on my RL accomplishments in game...

My decorations for RL are for all to see in RL, just as they would be in the game if I had accomplished anything worth a damn in the game. No need to mix reality with fantasy.

I grind RL for decorations, not EVE.

Besides, keeping a low profile can be a benefit in EVE at times.

Being able to understand the turret mechanics is an award itself.

Anyway there's what? 50% of players have a science doctorate and 50% for whom the word school has no sense.
Just be happy there is a game for us who studied hard.
Too bad the same guys who stole my breakfast are the same that pod me.

So, your skill would be injected, but then not trained at all, eh? Lol

Also, what uni could I get a PhD in Titans from?
