Ok I understand the following
1) If someone salvages my wrecks I can't shoot him
2) If someone steals from my wrecks I CAN shoot him
3) If I shoot that someone, he can shoot me

My question is this.
A) How long can I shoot him?
B) If I shoot him, how long can he shoot me?
C) Does his switching ships affect B)
D) Can his corp mates shoot me too?

No, im not going to shoot him in my missioning ship, that would be silly.
I got a couple of PVP setups ready for this occasion.

A) Aggression timer is 15 minutes

B) 15 minutes, it resets its self for both partys every time you shoot him or he you.

C) No

D) That depends, if you stole from him you're flagged to his entire corp. If he stole from you your entire corp can shoot him but only he can shoot as his corp will not get aggression.

If your friends support you with remote modules, he can shoot them aswell.

- If he steals from you, you and your player corp members can shoot him for 15 minutes
- if you take the ore back it's vice versa, he and his corp mates can shoot you
- if during those initial 15 minutes you shoot him then you both get your personal timer towards eachother of 15 minutes, which is reset every time you aggress or attack
- if you shoot him his corp mate can not shoot you but he is ofcourse allowed to help with remote reps or similar. that friend will then copy over the aggression reset back to 15 minutes. You can shoot him but if you do he can ofcourse shoot back
- switching ships still leaves him aggressed to you, what generally will happen is an alt of his dropping off a non-piloted ship. If you target the empty ship before the guy can board it then he won't be able to, not sure on how that is if dropped from an orca atm (citation needed)

Do note that the whole mechanic is about to change in the next expansion, thing is that the guys working on it don't necessarily fully understand how or why these things work as they do so expect it to be a very carebearish and stupid change.

Nope, the shooting you did up to you killing him will though so about 15 min from the time he pops. Also note that aggression doesn't carry over to pods in high sec and low sec unless you are at war so don't do something rash and take a huge sec hit =D

Or pod da bastard, scoop his corpse into cargo and start nice collection in your freezer. Also implants he had in his head can look good on your killboard :)

Sec status can be reworked with ratting or maybe taste of blood will lead you out of hisec shanningans into low and null where you don't have to wait for your wrecks be looted.

yes ... but pods are hilariously squishy. just BM the location and come back for the corpse after 15m (most people don't have biomass on their overviews, so will probably miss it).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
