What if Disband of Brothers never happened?

If that big blue blob were still blanketing null sec and all the other null sec players were squeezed onto a small, remaining section? Well, for one all this talk about moving people into null sec wouldn't exist, since non-BoB players would be bumping into each other left and right, deriving satisfaction that there "seems to be a lot of people out here!"

Then, of course, the illusion that BoB could still possibly be fielding enough players to actually hold all that space would still exist. A certain unnamed person wouldn't be trading on his reputation for having cracked an already cracked alliance. So, the star of the day wouldn't be a blip on the map, which is as it should be. (Happy days!)

Let's see...is that enough?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

hilarious response.. because the current large concerns in null sec pick fights for good reasons and that's why they are still here?

ah yes but back then everyone looked at the goons as some crazed, smallish faction of T1 and rookie pilots.

I need a long shower after posting in this thread.

We wouldn't have goons strutting around thinking they brought down an alliance that was already failing and collapsing on it's self

And yes I'm an alt . Cos I'm to lazy to hit the button at to top.

If BoB was never disbanded?
Speculation: After the Sov Bill incident Goons would have been attacked, rolled out of nullsec, and fail cascaded.
They would have come back of course because they are like herpes that way....annoying, permanent, and disgusting, but you learn to deal with it.

TEST would probably never have gotten off the ground and failed after a few months of wanting to be like big brother Goonie but not quite making it.

The NC would still be rulling the north.

PL would own space.

There would be 4 sides of New Eden instead of 3. North, East, South, and West.

But since this is all just speculation I could be waaayyyy off base.

Yeah we've moved to NPC space a few times and then come back. It happens

Originally TEST wanted nothing to do with us. They just read the map upside down

:) the alliance got deleted, not the people in it...

Here is the thing, BoB reformed to become "IT" so there you have it... oh, and IT died too, but I heard something about IT being reborn recently?, but then you also have Raiden. which is basicly old BoB also... it's all very confusing, but part of the bigger picture... do note I am no expert, I am just recalling this from my memory of old news from way back when

Now this is an interesting response. Why would less people be playing

Because of all the people that joined up because of the story of the disband? I know I probably wouldn't be playing if it weren't for that.

I more feel like the game would have stagnated with little change occurring. Espionage wouldn't have been so lauded in this game, I get the impression that trolling would have been more frowned upon, and that quite a few of the *awesome space updates* wouldn't have happened, in favor of WiS stuff.

This all assumes no one would have riled things up, and the never-been-proven-wrong idea that sandboxes that stagnate eventually become pvp-free barbie games, chat rooms and grindfests for the few remaining people who stick with it.

Hello, hello again.

You forgot Sengoku - and I wouldn't exactly call Raidendot the old BoB - the old BoB (as in the BoB founded after the GNW with lots of former m0o members in it) was actually pretty cool, then they become sedentary space-farmers, more creative and aggressive pilots left because they didn't enjoy that lifestyle just to be replaced with WTJs etc...etc...

BOB was disbanded because they were already at the end of their game. IT was sign that noone should try to look back. Raiden. and NC. the reincarnations of Bob are allready more or less dead.

I love it when miners talk about nullsec /so/ authoritatively

Goons were doing these things before and after BoB died.

I love it when people post with NPC alts with no corp history, and pretend to be "relevant". Also, maybe do a little research before you throw dirty words around like "he's a miner". According to battleclinic, for a casual gamer with only 338 kills on this toon, I seem to have somehow scored 153B isk in damage while only losing 3.5B.

P.S.
You should not be scared of internet people... it's ok to post with your main you know?

They did that already, and M0o reloaded part II seemed to suck pretty hard, did they not? Something that is liable to happen to IT if they manage to take off again.

There is not BOB.
Only Zuel.

If Goons were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.

It would just have been another massive super-blob funded by RMT/Bots .. forums would have been a lot more interesting though as BoB/Goons sure knew how to keep people entertained.
