Damn, this is *fantastic* - and I've gone and run out of caramel popping corn. If I wasn't trying to eat my own past in this forsaken cubical pile of rusting girders and Republican Secure Services something something (clearly "services" does not include amenities like caramel and ... oh, blast it all)!

Send a boy to Tash-Murkon for sweets, sweetie, I don't want to miss an installment! My money is on that sly devil Leopold. He is such a charming villain!

Angels are never far... or so I'm told.

It is truely a sad day for the freedom loving people of the Empires. I just received a communication in response to my desire to purchase the freedom of the missing 16,000.

Mr Gaufres,

I recently noticed your kind offer to purchase the relocated slaves form whomever currenlty has them. My sources tell me that they are all currently being put to good use and they are on their way down the path to eventually be Reclaimed.

Further inqueries will be ignored.

As I feared, this action was pulled off with the assistance of some very powerful Holders in the Empire. Freeing unwanted, abandoned Slaves must be a threat to them.

I fear you are quite right. Unfortunately Ston and Manwe were far to busy chasing ghosts and tripping over each other to turn me into a scapegoat through fabricated and flimsy (at best) evidence to bother pursuing the ACTUAL culprits.

Now that he is no longer a member of Disciples of Ston, I wonder how Manwes business with the Angels and their supporters are going? Have you found more slaves to use as drug mules Manwe???

I realize that most of you don't know me as of yet so let me introduce myself.

The name's Caryington, Eloise Caryington. I'm from the Republic. Born there and lived there most of my short life. Contrary to most of my fellow Minmatars, I've been raised with an open mind about the "evil ugly and nasty Amarr vampires preying on us poor Minmatar kids" Because my dad himself was a capsuleer I followed his footsteps and became one myself. I needed to work and decided I could carefully go and check thow evil was the Amarr Empire.

Now this is probably the part where you get bored or start to wonder whether or not I'm an utter idiot.

I'm a free Minmatar working for the High Lord Ran'shad, himself. My contract of Employment is surely not a slavering contract and has been checked by my father's and my own lawyers. Ran'shad is not the evil bastard you're trying to depict him as: he lets me live my own life with my own believes (as long as I work and meet the quotas he did set up within the Corp). He publicly recognized in a corp neocom message that I was a fine assets to IMER. How many Amarrs might have done that?

Yes, he indeed uses slave labours but I have never witnessed him or any of our corporate personnel mistreating a slave. They live in very decent conditions, are fed with good and healthy food. They have a hard roof to sleep under and aren’t forced in kind of abuse. I know that not all Amarr treat their slaves THAT fairly.

Yes, they're asked to work their hands to the bones but so am I and so are all our Amarr and Caldari staff. Truth being told, the Amarr working under the High Lord are tasked to work even harder and set the mark of professional perfection expected. The High Lord himself works very hard to show us that the quota he sets up are indeed achievable.

I can also leak that he's made an important announcement within the Corp all our pilots should keep an eye open to jettison cans at the Niarja side of the Niarja - Kaaputenen jump gate (the closest border with the Caldari State from our base of operation), where numerous pilot jettison “Many pilots will jettison their cargo of slaves, slavers, etc... ”. All those human beings “are jettisoned into space and left to die once the oxygen runs out or the integrity of their jetcan fails”. We all agree… I agree that being put in the service of such a wise and intelligent man and in the extremely fair conditions he has us all work in is far better than having to fight one’s can-mates for the last molecules of oxygen available.

I invite all of my fellow Minmatars willing to work with Amarrs and to see that another solution than hate between our people is possible, to join us in IMER… just get ready to work ‘cause we don’t need lazy idiots in here.

If you think I’ve betrayed our people, well… I couldn’t care less! If you think I’ve been enlightened and joined your belief in any kind of god then you’re as wrong! No need to jump on your pious feet and brand my boss as a heretic. We surely haven’t discussed religion as of yet and, truth being told, I’m not eager to have that discussion with him. It’s my personal belief and interpretation of our relation that he will tackle the subject because his faith requires him to and until he deems the discussion necessary, I will do nothing to bring up that matter in our discussions. The High Lord is a wise and smart man and I’d bet a billion ISK that he’s only waiting for the appropriate moment to do so. That is unless your faith requires to turn people immediately…

Anyway… If you think my boss is a “Villain”, don’t be surprised if at laugh at your face and lack of neurons.

Eloise

PS: Oh! I forgot to mention, each time I barge in the boss’ office to discuss serious matters and/or to just try his patience, he pays me a can of Quafe and believe me when I say I make an industrial consumption of Quafe... That sure sounds like the methods of an Intergalactic Villain, does it not?

You most likely wont be getting any response from any of the Disciples here due to their new rules of posting. Along with that, this thread is long overdue for being left to die but things keep coming up. Anything more should be taken to private comms. Before that, I will say my bit.

Eloise, I don't think anyone is saying Ran'shad is the true "Villain" here. Maybe that he is still a holder, and that DSTON and IMER are still aganist each other. But he is not the one in the spotlight. The key is what I had found after looking through the archives, that Ta Pang was friends with Ran'shad. He was dishonest with DSTON about his past friendship with Ran'shad. Along with that, he even recieved help from his former corporation to stage rescues and make them look genuine so he can get the attention of DSTON and join. Later, Ta Pang was even against Ran'shad and that was questionable due to their past together. The hate however, is doublesided as Ran'shad is against how Ta Pang is currently operating... stating he has no place in IMER. For all we know, they are still on good terms and just spouting public lies about the hate.

With all that said, I don't think we will ever see the 16,000 faces. If lucky, they will turn up in future rescues and tell their story. Unfortuently, there is solid proof they are under Amarrian chains and are listening to scriptures, thanks to Ta Pang.

I am sorry to say, but I don't think that inviting us Minmatar to work under Amarrians would bring peace to both sides. Most would easily concider that as slavery, which is what most Minmatar are against. Your invitation does not look promising. One can easily invite the Amarr to work under a pro-Minmatar corporation. But I don't think they will take it because of their beliefs. Just the same.

Anyways, I will now get off my high horse and leave this thread. I don't think anyone, including myself, wants to see another escalation of this... dispite how terrible it has been. Anyone wants to futher talk of this, please take it to the private comms. Thanks.
