Being pawned around Facebook right now is a very old speech, it rings rather true of our current situations. However, from a capsuleers point of a view, it paints us in a rather sinister light. Other then that, enjoy a rather rousing speech by an amazing actor

The Dictator, Charlie Chaplin. I'm stunned to find that linked here, I must say. Charles, naturally, was accused of being a Commie after he did that. He'd certainly be a "mean old socialist" with this illiterate crowd today.

Charlie's good people. Now let the tough-guy momma's boyz goon away. They won't change a thing.

Can't they all go back to the desert and **** their camels or whatever they did before?

Look! There's one NOW! Arabs don't beg, by the way. They have a tradition of cutting off people's heads that talk the way you do. Were I you...I'd stick close to home. You know what cracks to hide in there.

Oh, and...by the way...nobody on Facebook can pawn Charles Chaplin. If you meant the Facebook weenies are typing text about something they don't understand...what's new?

Thinking isn't being. I have a friend who, when asked how he feels, always responds, "I feel with my hands." There's two definitions (to use the term loosely) to "feeling." One is responsive - what is your emotional reaction? The other is a method to take-in information. No amount of thinking does you any good if you don't have enough information.

Thinking is a term that seems to be used to cover many different things. The most common is turning something over in your mind over and over hoping to discover something. Observation and experience have always trumped thinking in that regard. It's also used to describe running logical progressions to gain a better understanding or picture of something. These two aren't the same things.

The word I find amusing is "mind". How many uses are there for "mind"? How many mental functions are covered with the word "mind," as though it's a singular thing?

What Charlie said wasn't "Don't think. Feel." (If you weren't being dogmatic you'd have noticed that.) He was asking for a balance...a little less of this...a littlle more of that, which his times required. There could be a time when the two should be reversed. The idea being, empathy and sympathy lend themselves well to understanding. In trying to understand some things they aid in ways thinking can't.

Of course, there's a "tough-boy" crowd that claims they do neither - empathize or sympathize. Invariably they don't, but they sure expect us to when it comes to THEM, don't they? Blink

So easy to make good sounding words and never do anything ever. Im looking at you 99%. If you want to make a difference do something instead of talking about what needs to be done. :> In EVE it doesnt matter though. Enough missiles can solve any problem there!

You say that as though you're in the one percent. You aren't. At least the ones speaking out are speaking out for you, too. So, go ahead and say they're not doing enough. They're doing more than you.

I love it when people blame the "1%" for having the drive and ambition to conquer this world, by any means necessary. Like Redbeard said, "bold men make themselves masters", while the weak whine and complain.

It is just another speech, another video, another voice, telling people what to think and what to do. You will already know what to think and what to do. Yet you choose to watch another video on the Internet...

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.
