Hey guys, whether or not this thread is a troll depends on how you use it. I put it here because you would be most affected and have the most experience with the topic. :)

I'd like some discussion on an idea: I'd like to propose (as a topic for discussion) that if anyone is aggressed by a person who earns a GCC from the result of that aggression (e.g. lowsec neut is attacked, someone is suicided, etc.), then the owner of the ship should have legal ownership of the wreck also. That is to say, you can still loot the wreck but the old owner of the ship and members of his corp will get aggro against you as though you stole from his mission wreck or something. That is also to say that if you suicide someone, and a third party steals the wreck, then you can't shoot that person unless you want to suicide again.

So I'm curious what effects this will have on the game:

-Who will get the loot and how will that change from the old system?

-What are the risk/reward/time costs of any new parties involved and how does that compare to the previous system?

-How will this affect the game psychologically?

Some guesswork:

I think carebears will feel as though there's more justice, which is probably a happy thought for them, but will be otherwise unaffected, but that's still net positive. Gankers will perhaps face further variance and lower pay, but probably not a large effect. And the gank-stealers will become much more viable, and therefore competition over suicide loot will heat up considerably. This could actually be a net positive. More loot and ships will be destroyed, which will drive up inflation a bit, too, through transaction fees and destruction of supply, but I'd expect this to be a really small cost that might be justifiable based on emergent gameplay (I love smart words!).

Please PM me if you think that there's something I need to return to the thread in the short term for, otherwise I'm going to check back when the discussion has matured. :)

If only looting yellow wrecks gave agression to the owning corp allready. Good god but people might start baiting with wrecked ships and cans on gates.

I think that ALL player wrecks should be blue, just as it is currently when a ship is used in a suicide attack.
Simple.

The victim's ship can be looted by anyone, the gankers ship can be looted by anyone. Just depends on who gets there first.

GCC DOES transfer to wrecks, it always has. I blow up blue wrecks all the time for ***** and giggles.
