Some games just aren't for some people. It's not easy for some to play a game like Eve Online. I think you have to use your imagination a bit.

I think this is a case of why isn't this game interacting with me more?
It's like they want something more from the game.

But you have to put some effort in and feed the game to get what you want from it.
Otherwise its just cold and lifeless.

If you look at a blank empty space for too long and don't see what you can make from it, then all you get is the blankness back.

It's a blank canvas you have to paint on it a little, if you want to get something back.


I don't know why people look at the one room and think "this is it?!?! It's nothing. It's empty!!"...
Obviously it isn't finished.

People want entertainment handed to them one exciting amazing thing after another to keep themselves occupied.


I kinda feel like young people these days have no imagination at all.

Edit: I should put this in a new thread by itself and see what other people say about it.

I think, personally speaking, I find my enthusiasm waxes and wanes. Like most things. Eve is the one game, excepting perhaps Crusader Kings (CK2 Feb 2012 peeps! **** yeah!) that gets my dollar every month regardless. The pvp in this game is brilliant. The economic gameplay is brilliant. The moral bankruptcy of many of the people in this game is brilliant etc.

However ..

The neglect of Fis, most specifically the lack of a dedicated balance team, has really sucked a lot of the joy out of the game. Long term. Incarna was bullshit from the beginning - they never will deliver anything like the grand designs. Of that I am completely certain. (edit: hahahah watch this space I know)

The biggest disappointments for me being the ongoing redundancy of 80% of all hulls in the game. Imbalances left right and center that make pvp very repetitive and narrow minded when it could be full of variety and surprises. I don't expect 'fair' but every race needs viable options in every tier and level. No messing. And that is missing on so many or unrepresented in the face of speed/tracking pwnage.

Not gonna go on about it too much but I reckon its a real shame and I'd love to see balance as a 'steak-holder (herp)' concept.

You have to be careful when balancing.
It's easy to tip it too much in another direction.
Of course it is going to happen to some extent.

Just you don't want to do something major and mess it up in another way.

I didn't say he did. But it is widely accepted that Shield tanking is worse and less efficient than Armor tanking. Thats all.

A comment was made by Holy One stating that Armor tanking didn't work. Last few years in any PvP conflict within Nullsec Armor was always highly favored as it was "better" than shield. So my comment was a jest to that. No fact evidence or numbers needed. Then someone else comes a long putting words in my mouth in which case I corrected him to what my original intent was with a reason why.

Is this really so hard to see and comprehend or do most of you just read what you want and skip the important stuff?
