Data cores are Faction Warfare only? Anyone have a link so I can see it for myself instead of going off rumors in GD?

You'll need to find the link yourself as I don't have it, but I do believe they said that they are adding datacores to FW LP stores and are thinking about a "general decrease" in datacore income from R&D. I don't know what they mean by general decrease, but it doesn't look like it'll be removed completely.

I asked in the Research channel in game and the guy there said theyre removing R&D agents as per "a post on the forums"

well its the "if" and such Im TRYING to find actual CCP comments on it and cant hence why Im seeing if ANYONE has links

Its funny how the ppl in 0.0 qq about ppl in high sec making isk when they have infinite funds with those

from the videos from youtube fanfest i hear they are putting datacores into FW as a extra, not moving them all there.
As i currently have 4 lv4 agents working for me and i am also in FW it just means ill have to move them closer to where i work normaly instead of having them at my near lv4 mission runner JC

AFK cloaking doesn't earn anything, so it needs a buff!

As Altair said they discussed the ideas they had relating to R&D points / datacores but did not go into too many details.

The idea brought up is that datacores would be available though faction warfare LP store and about nerfing the existing system. I've watched the video twice and don't recall anywhere it being suggested the existing system was going to be removed (though I am a bit drunk atm)

The general idea is (this is the speculations based on info was made available, and I guess from previous similar changes

  • Datacores bought using research points will have an isk value to them

    Chances are the people who have 30+ accounts just for g will still be able to make a stupid amount of isk from just R&D, it just wont be to the point of being ridiculous.

    This one has been mentioned here a few times. There is not a dev blog on this idea. I don't think it is on any of the fanfest videos that CCP have uploaded either. I think it was fielded as an idea at a roundtable at Fanfest and/or spoken of by CCP Soundwave . Probably best not to worry about it and file it with the removing ice belts from high sec idea. Smile

    Second Bullet Point. People these days don't know how to do research... you just look at the top of a page and go from what you know... learn people... learn.


    Also... Stop multiposting topics, I've had to personally clarify for 3 threads now, and facepalmed at about 4-5 others of the same exact subject. Shouldn't these threads be locked CCP? where's the forum moderation?

    Remember, both datacores and moon goo need buyers in order for the sellers to make any ISK at all off of the "raw" commodities.

    The tech moon holders have the potential to earn so much ISK because CCP re-engineered a bottleneck into Tech 2 production with the Dominion patch (December 2010) that favors tech moon goo. The infinite funds come the other ISK faucets in-game, such as bounties (all types). It is those funds which are used to to purchase both the raw goods and finished products derived from the tech moon goo.

    CCP plays its divine hand with the EVE economy openly and often, rendering the "sandbox" description so often used as a fallacy.

    Also keep in mind that [high-sec] incursions are earning players trillions worth of ISK each month. Nearly 10T in December 2011. That's a ******* lot of ISK. Null-sec may have its moons, but high-sec has missions and incursions.

    Plus, IM all about letting the incursions go. How many resources does that guy HAVE?!

    BUT you should realize they were qqing about the money made in high sec BEFORE Incursions were ever in the game, so using incursions as a point of why you cant say high sec vs 0.0 doesnt track, plus for all the lvl 4s in high sec arent there missions (lvl 5 AND 4s) in low and 0.0 too? That ppl chose not to do them is irrelevant. Theyre still there TO do.

    I've actually found that the best way to troll null-sec is not to shitpoast on the forums or afk cloak in their systems... but to just make any mount of money in hi-sec.

    And boom goes the dynamite.
