Wrong, this is the right area for test server feedback, which is what we are giving feedback on right now

Truth

Though, historically, this could be considered the wrong place b/c they have a history of ignoring most of the feedback the testers give them...until the patch hits TQ, then the masses complain and they make a token attempt to 'fix' it...

Historically, most test server feedback is exploiters, botters and other scum QQ'ing about how their personal broken infinite Supercap/Isk faucet region is now on a par with all the others, threatening to quit with their 35 accounts and generally acting like children with no sense of perspective.

like the OP.

He may be whining but, as much as it pains me to admit it (the tears of drone region residents are delicious, you see), he's right - drones in their current state are objectively worst rats than other factions now.

They don't drop any meta loot, unlike the rest of the rats.
They do have faction spawns ("Sentient" drones), but so far as I am aware, these spawns drop nothing...I haven't come across one on SiSi yet, but I have seen a differential, and it had no drops that stuck out as drone faction drops.
They have no officer spawns.

Now, granted, this is a pretty early version of the test server, but CCP doesn't exactly have an inspiring track record of following through on their changes, either.

The sec status in drone regions is still higher than other regions meaning that belts will have larger and better spawns on average. Larger and better spawns means higher bounty payouts per belt. You're already going to make more isk from bounties than a similar non-drone region, loot and better salvage would only further shift this balance further in the drone regions favor.

Sentient spawns drop the parts to make the augmented and integrated drones

What we're actually doing is removing both hisec and PvP from the game entirely. It seems like the fairest way to solve this problem. - CCP Grayscale  - CCP troll BEST troll <3

Just to be clear, sentient spawns are junk compared to true/dark/dread/domination/shadow, as they all CAN give blue salvage, but the non-drones ones also drop loot worth any money (drone parts are worthless) and currently they also have nice bounties which sentience will presumably be getting. without faction modules or a MASSIVE increase in the prices for drone parts (orders of magnitude) sentient spawns will always be behind regular faction spawns.

My bad; that might as well be dropping nothing though. The stuff sells for a pittance and moves in very small quantities, as there is very little compelling reason to use the augmented/integrated drones.

IIRC they also drop quite a bit of T2 salvage (or they used to).

Yeah, they could drop meta 1-4 items just like other rats do. However, the lore of rogue drones can explain their stingyness as a rat type. That is that they don't take over other ships and incorporate any of their meta 1-4 items into the ship so they should never drop any of those. Just like they should not drop any salvage. Don't know why that was changed.

Also, why should anyone expect any faction spawns that actually drop faction items? I know years ago I made a killing on sentient dren. There were so many spawns of them and they dropped so many components with which to make incredibly powerful drones that had split damage and not more of it. So really there is no need in the game for some faction drone mods that come from rogue drones. Just be happy with the incredibly powerful integrated or whatever drones you can make from the oft seen sentient spawns. Who would ever want a cool bpc for a drone rig that augments scout drone damage or something new to the game?

No, it is far better to fix the mineral/mining problem by simply putting a bounty on rogue drones, and removing any drop from them. Drone region folks have no need for meta 1-4 or faction mods.Straight

edit- or ships! I know that noone would want a cool ship with clutching claws sticking out of it. Oh but you say their ships are infected so we could never pilot them. Yeah, that is why there are no sansha implants. I mean what if there were sansha implants they would instantly turn you into a sansha and off you'd go zombifying people in hisec and such.

there is a sansha implant, it is one of the rewards from the amarr epic arc. the Sansha modified 'gnome' implant.

If I recall correctly. CCP said they are changing the sec status but NOT the data feeding the belts. So the belts for mining will remain higher value than their faction counterparts.

So Mining will be the moneymaker in the drone regions.

they drop a bit of t2 salvage but mostly its pants stuff along with the usual drone salvage

Ratting/anoms will be the money maker ... you can drop a Ihub in any claimable 0.0 system and mine more for cash in the hidden belts than you can in regular belts

If I'm not mistaken, all faction rats can be salvaged for T2 salvage; drone rats are not exceptional in that regard. What?

Here's the bounties on the rats, basically the same as other regions except the other regions will also have loot which adds to the value of the kill.

Went looking around Etherium Reach so far in the various belts.

Patriach 1.55Mil
Drone Creator 1.4Mil
Domination Drone 950k
Spearhead Drone 800k
Swarm Preserver 650k
Viral Infector 80k
Disintegrator 95k
Defeator 185k
Atomizer 110k
Violator 87.5k
Strain Splinter 25.5k
Crippler 195k
Striker Drone 205k
Nuker 117.5k
Siege Drone 215k
Dismantler 22.5k
Marauder 21k
Barracuda 13k
Devilfish 12k

Wait, that's in 0.0? WTF?! Why are all the bounties super low? Where's the 10 million ISK rats?

Not to mention slave implants. Is sarcasm so hard to understand? I don't know how I could make it drip any more. What?
