Wireless Mouse Hesitation when in EVE Client

Logitech M510 wireless mouse encounters substantial hesitation while moving around all areas of the UI in EVE. I don't notice this behavior using IE8 or with any other application on this computer.

The hesitations are to the point that PVP is frustrating and even using the market frequently results in incorrect selections. Multiple client instances appear to make the problem even worse, but even with just one instance it's to the point where all aspects of the game interface are difficult to deal with.

As soon as the client is closed the mouse appears to function as expected with rare hesitations (i understand this shohuld be expected to some degree when using a wireless mouse).

System is a windows 7 OS Service Pack 1 with AMD 2.91GHz processor and 4GB RAM. It's pretty bare, about 1 year old.
