My post wasn't really mean to praise Garmon so much as to point out that there's more to pvp than links and implants. I agree with pretty much everything you posted here, actually. Where I'm coming from is that in addition to the work you do yourself, it's good to learn from someone who has slogged through the grind of learning the hard way. That goes for any game, be it Eve, Go, Starcraft, etc. That is one of the reasons one of the first suggestions for new players is to find a good corp.

Perhaps this will be a terrible idea in the end and will flop, but maybe not, maybe it'll turn into something really great that eve hasn't seen yet (even though it's common in other gaming/hobby communities).

I understand that some people don't think it's worth it, and that's fine, I have no problem with that. I have a friend that regularly buys plex and I don't think that's worth it because I can make the isk myself, but that doesn't stop him from doing it.

I don't actually think that what they have at this point is worth that fee, but they know what they're doing when it comes to pvp, they make good videos, and if they put a lot more work into it, maybe it'll grow into something that is worth it. I'm just saying that I'm willing to give them a chance.

I just think they could have made more money selling it at a cheaper price.

If they had gone for $5 I reckon they could have easily got 4000+ people subscribing. I would guess selling it at $20 is going to limit them to an audience of around 200-300.

LOL. Videos of people that know how to pvp with a narrator for money? More power to them if they get paid but damn people. EVE really is easy, just go play the game. If you're unable to figure out how to fight on your own I doubt someone explaining how is going to help you. Whatever.

The irony of it is that Eve IS easy, and these guys do what every other Tom, D1ck and Harry do but just have the stones to try and charge you to watch them doing it.

CCP Guard, has locked the tread in My Eve section, basically sayinG that any RL profiteering from EVE intellectual property is against the T&C's. However ISK profiteering is OK.

Not sure what will happen to their subscription model now?

Probably exactly what they expected. They will shut down the site due to TOS violation, and they just got paid some 200 dollar lifetime subs for nothing. RMT Scamming at its finest?

$200 for a lifetime sounds like a better deal that $10 to join Goonswarm until such time as they failcascade/cry about mittani/ kick you for failing to cry about mittani/whatever else they choose to do to you before you die, which might be suicide if Mittani has his way.
