All you guys complaining they are $19 instead of $5 would probably all complain if they were $5 and not free. Just saying.

As for basic economics higher priced content often works out better, because less customers means the ones that do sign up are likely more serious and by having less customers they aren't spending as much time answering 1000 questions a day on their forums or EVE-mails from 1000 guys paying $5/month.

People buy GTC's to convert to ISK in this game everyday. I really don't think they will have a hard time selling enough subscriptions to give themselves a few extra bucks and who knows maybe they will make a decent amount of change.

You'd think CCP wouldn't really allow people to use game footage, game assets for 3rd parties to make money from.

Either way, you are an idiot to pay for that. Use booster alts, use falcon alts and you are already 3/4s of the way to Garmon level.

Not really, just drawing attention to the fact that you think alts and implants are 75% of pvp. Also interesting is that the only thing you seem to be able to post are insults without providing much insight or useful commentary to the topic at hand.

It's not uncommon for people to pay for content of some sort in greater amounts than their sub costs. Anyone who purchases more than a single plex does this.

For a game where more players than not run multiple accounts, it's surprising to me that anyone is making a big deal about the fact that it's $20. Will it be worth it in the long run? Only time will tell, and if they don't make it very worth it they'll lose my dollars, but I'm willing to give them a chance. I mean seriously, it's $20. That's 1 meal at a resteraunt or a night at the movies. I've already spent more time watching the videos they've provided than that.

1. Win alliance tournament.

2. Make many many billions off of the unique ships awarded.

3. Booster alt.

4. Expensive implants, boosters, mods, ships.

5. Win

No, I'd say having a decent fit and having in-game experience is what makes you a good PvPer. No website is going to give you the 2nd one.

The alts and/or implants is for the "I r so l33t, watch my videos with my fleet channel blocked out". If you want to "ascend to the elite level" you'd be better off doing either of these things.

a) getting a PLEX to give yourself hardware to lose and then actually playing the game. Each loss, each kill, each engagement makes you better.

b) getting yourself a gang link alt for the horrendously over powered bonuses it would give by sitting in a POS/safespot/dock range

c) falcon alt. This gets dismissed a lot as ~NO HONOURE~ but I really don't see how its any different than the T3 sitting in safety making your ship faster/tankier.

There is way enough free resources/ forums and videos to pick from. If by all means you need somebody to worship and throw away your money, all the power to you but you'd be best served using the money to make yourself better.

But seriously its not like its protected by copyright, is there really anything stopping someone just uploading these elsewhere?

Don't see the point in paying that much for something that will be freely available after a short delay.
