This used to work really well with Transcranial Mind Controllers before PI. I never thought anyone would go public with NPC trade secrets.

You may get hate mail, but nice explanation none the less.

Now for popcorn!

This isn't a secret, goons blew up a freighter packed full of them back in 2007. Alas, the killmail doesn't show drops. :(

ps, they did drop. Someone blew up the wreck. P

This used to be a huge source of income until they nerfed it a while back.

Those were the good old days /nostalgia

Can you add the tl;dr version to that word diarrhea of yours? I'll make it easy for you to copy it and paste it "tl;dr: npc trade goods"

It's not a secret, most noob is aware of this, even I knew about this when I first started in this game. I just didn't want to haul every damn day.

You don't need to do the hauling yourself. If you are willing to sacrifice some profit, then you can contract the hauling.

The largest barrier is the investment capital. You make about 9% ROI daily, which is not bad in relative terms, but not so great in absolute terms, unless you have a large amount of liquid ISK which you can tie up in the venture. Most noob traders don't have the cash, and many players see a 35M monthly return on a 15M investment as not being worth the hassle, esp. when you can run an Incursion, or a L4 mission, or even mine in high-sec, and make the same 35M ISK in an hour or two.

However, for an experienced trader like the OP, who obviously has a healthy wallet balance, it is a pretty safe and stable way to generate a substantial income stream with some of the spare billions sitting around in the wallet. It simply works a lot better when you are working with billions rather than millions of ISK - a 35B monthly return on a 15B investment is very reasonable.

The tech details of the game mechanics were well explained. Nicely done.

looks like regardless of public or not.. nobody else is going to do it.. i'm just too efficient at this darn it. another curious part about this is there is only room for one person.. if two people start a price war it becomes not worth it because of opportunity cost and other risks

Nice write up.

I had some "old pros" explain this to me when I first started out. I always considered this one of the great secrets in EVE.

I didn't understand the exact mechanics of the reset timer, just got lucky with my normal playtime. Big smile
