Hmmmm... more expensive ships = MOAR tears when they get blown up. Why didn't I look at it that way? Think I will get back into my Thrasher Twisted

First step to admiting you have a problem. You are risk adverse, you fly in highsec which CONCORD is unbiasedly guarding you just as much as the hulk and Mack pilots (until you strike).

Good for you. Nothing like saying you won't risk something expensive, it just has to hit the wallet with the least amount of loss. Its ok the other guy is probably going to lose a Mack or Hulk, so long as its not you. Lets not forget "Don't fly what you cannot afford to lose" and "Poorly Designed ships" go great with "Destroyers got a buff, but mining vessels don't need them".

I have to agree. Gankers are the ironically the biggest risk averse carebears in EVE

Excellent - I have managed to extract tears and I haven't even got out of bed yet.

What tears?
reality

your mentioning tears is me extracting your tears lol

Reality, hey? Look 3 posts up at my previous entry where I took the time to explain things.

You're still assuming. You're still adorable

Well they are able to earn a lot more ISK.

6 months ago, a miner had to mine for 10 hours to make 100 mil isk, to buy ship A.
Now, miners need to mine for 10 hours to make 200 mil isk, to buy ship A.

Yep, mining has defiantely become more profitable Roll

Building ships is so difficult. Still haven't figured out how it all works.

This is true for T1 ships, but for T2 ships its not.

Because T1 ships required to build T2 ships are only a small part of the T2 ship manufacturing costs.

6 months ago a miner had to mine for 10 hours to make 100 mil isk to buy a T2 ship A.

now miners need to mine for 5 hours to make 100 mil isk to buy T2 ship A.

Hulkageddon while annoying for some miners is easy enough to avoid. It and lets be frank actually rises mineral prices cause the smart miners just do something else for a week. That said i hear Rokh mining is pretty safe.

As for mining profits, prices are higher then they will be once people playing the market stop collect stock and start selling it.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

About 6 month ago, a miner had to mine for 6 hours to get the minerals to build himself an apoc. Now, miners need to mine 6 hours to get the minerals to build an apoc.

You are mixing up profit and income. Roll

But you are right. The capacity to field super capitals will depend on the number of hulk pilots in the corp in question. Molle will be one happy old man. Well, if he can be arsed to put the lightsabre down.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

This is the crux of the issue. I can make about 30-40 million ISK per hour doing level 4 missions (including salvaging and re-processing)... And I just take it easy, I've heard others can make even more (especially if you go crazy and deck yourself out with implants and your ship with officer gear). And this is totally risk free since it's in high sec.

My trader character can make even more especially in a rising market like now Blink. Again, risk free since I rarely even need to leave the station to trade effectively (occasionally I haul some of all that crap but often it's easier to contract someone else to do it)

Mineral prices are closing the gap but if we're talking 'basically' risk free (i.e. high sec mining in some remote system, yes they exist) then I don't think it's even close yet if your just looking at ISK/hour.

Interesting times though....

Miner clone = 200 kg

1 kg = 35.2739619 ounces

200 kg = 7,054.79 ounces

1 ounce of gold = $1,657.38

7,054.79 ounces of gold = $11,692,467.85

I doubt it

You forgot inflation there mate, this is based on the price of gold in 2012, while in EVE, we are in the year 23120 or something like that, so basically, you have to multiply that figure by 555 billion.
