I don't mind high mineral prices, since if the market is healthy (which it isn't with bots), it will find balance in time.
What i like are the banning wawes. If it will result in more cooperation in alliances when pvp corps will provide protection and some support services for indy corps paying isk and ships in return, the better.
As regards plex prices, well, right now i pay for 2 accounts and even though i may pay for one and sometimes both with isk, i simply choose not to because i feel like ccp is really caring about the game. May not mean much, but i suppose happy customer paying with real money is allways more than a puppet master (botter) paying nothing for dozens of his accounts.

For those complaining about how this is causing inflation: It's not. It's removing an artificial source of deflation and the prices are returning to the levels they are supposed to be at. All is well, especially if you're an ethical miner or producer, since you no longer have to compete with cheating smacktards.

You. I like you.

We might have higher mineral prices, but I'd rather see a bunch of cheating smacktards cry and have to pay more for ships than the game go into a downward spiral because prices are artificially low, we're all paying the same prices effectively and industry has been given a shot in the arm after being bled dry by entitled little cliff dwellers who don't even play the game.

In the short term it's painful on the wallet, in the long term it's better for the game.

And as any true Eve vet (bitter or otherwise) knows, it's all about the long term.

However, since its for the better, I shall join you in a little sniffle.

With all the bans going out I wonder if some people have been mistakenly banned? Loving the new mineral prices though ^_^. Sucks for people who dont have time mine though.

This is a good move but it will only be effective if the bans are "forever" because 2 week bans wont do crap and all people will forgot about this until next year.

I do not think so. They will try a second time and get their second strike. CCP already said that only 4% of the initial offenders take it to strike 3. So their punishment system is already to 96% effective.

If they never cheat again, then the second chance was worth it to both the former cheater and the game as a whole.

These idiots will quit anyway. Once they realize how hard it is to make a few billions all by yourself are they gone for some other game where they can use bots again. I do not think many of them can suddenly succeed in this game once their bots are gone. They probably will not know how.

Oh, the righteous tears of those who break the rules and get butthurt about being punished.

"rider23: I was botting 20hrs/day, on 4 accounts, all banned (+1 extra!) for 2 weeks. 2 remain. Now, without botting I have no other way to make isk and get plexes for all accounts even for my main. So there is no way to play for FREE. FREE? Hmm, seems that CCP have problems with their funding to support company, servers, etc.

So, I will let them eat my s**t, and on my 2 remaining unblocked accounts I have started the process to return all characters to the virtual biomass, where they virtually came from. Subscriptions already canceled."

Say, as someone fairly new to this game, where is this Jita I've heard about? I'm guessing it's the trading center of the game.

It is, and a complete cess pool, do yourself a favour and don't look at local if you go there. You might wish to avoid it after the 28th.

Eh, sometimes I don't have the time to mine, but when I'm offline, I always have some skill with a long training time going, so it's all good. As much as I like making a quick buck, I like to do it honestly and learn all the tricks of the trade. So as a new guy, I'm guessing I shouldn't put too much stock in the current mineral prices then.

Hehe, I will bear that in mind. Being that it's in Caldari space (from what I saw from that link), once I get around to getting marketing up to level 5 (not before I get my retriever though), I'll put stuff up to sell remotely. :)

An advice. If one day you'll go to Jita, NEVER, EVER TRUST OR BELIEVE what you read. ANYTHING said in that chat WILL get your money. ANYONE opening a trade to you there will replace the item you want with a piece of rubbish in 1/100 second while you push the trade button. Whatever happens do NOT trust anybody, anything, anywhere, any *.* in there.

Go and try reading Jita local chat now with 2000 players in it. The problem has solved itself.
