$19 per month or $200 lifetime, it'd be cheaper to learn trial and error Cool

I heard WoW went F2P, just sayin.

If you really want to be like Garmon, use the money on a booster alt instead. Far more effective than watching pvp videos.

Hmmm, $19/month to view the same type of videos already freely available for free by other players...nice try.

Wait, Lifetime sub? I would be on that like a Bot on Ice if it was really available. Hell, I'd get two, that way I'd always have an alt.

I watched the Rupture video & the Myrm video, 1 done by Garmon & 1 done By Will Adama and I'd say both were very well narrated and they do a pretty good job explaining what they are doing & why. Hell I'd say I picked up a trick or two so they were worth the watch.

I'm sure you can find other PVP videos out there, but you aren't gonna find the quality or at least very many of them IMO. Anyone that has the RL ISK to burn and want's to learn PVP, likely wont lose out. I do like the fact that they are using affordable & even cheap set ups for their videos, as they are putting focus on what a average viewer would learn with.

I only wish they were free so I could just send all our noobs his way, however I guess everyone has to eat and why not make a few bucks if you are good at something.

He could make a few bucks popping them up on youtube with ads.

It's about a dollar per thousand total views. A bit more if you have good, targeted advertising (I set it up much too late). If he made some decent videos he could quite easily clear a few hundred thousand views. Made videos for a few games and still have views/cash trickling in.

Or he could put ads on his website with adsense. Or link his youtube videos from his website and get both.

This actually puts less demands on him and his databases, etc.

But hey, some people are apparently willing to pay 19 bucks for a guide, so what incentive does he have to do that? And not everyone likes to do their stuff "open source"

Hello, hello again.

OP is talking about website http://www.eveiseasy.com/ - not EVE itself.

The price surprised me alittle bit at first, but then I thought about it for a few seconds. People who pay premium are probably less likely to rip that **** and put it on thepiratebay or similar, so it's probably a smart decision. Wish them the best with this project. How cool woudn't it be to have people playing Eve "for a living".

It's a hell of a lot better value for money than a pair of pants and a monocle at least.

Alt detected

Edit: Also, the opposite is true. Torrentors are willing to spend some cash to distribute widely for "praise" Many things on ze bay of pirates are from a paid source. Freedom of information and all that noise. Cute way of saying I want free ****

At half the monthly amount I think I would have subb'd never been a big pvper but would like to learn more, but at more than the eve sub...

Would have been nice to see a 'come try the service for 3 months at $10 per' and then with a record of 3 months worth of video put the price up. oh well

Good luck with the site though guys the vid's i did see were indeed excellent.

They are crazy. I wouldnt even pay half! They are nutz. They obviously do not know that there is a world economic issue. Its really appoling.

As many said, its cheaper to get another alt for a whole year in eve. I dont know about the rest of you, but i rather give my money to CCP to support and improve the game than to a couple of guys who use "expensive" ships to pvp and call that "easy". Ofcource is easy! Using a ship worth 1billion+ in a group with 2 or 3 others to kill a few people. Dont make me laugh.

The subscription should not be worth more than $5 a month. Anything beyond that, i rather get another alt in Eve!
Its even better and more fun to watch this free stream >>
http://www.twitch.tv/sardcaid/videos

You will learn a lot from it and it will teach you basically the same thing that you get from eveiseasy.
Whats better, its FREE!

i figured a few quid a month, not this.

And yeh i can see all this being ripped just because of the price. Something cheap why bother (pay for it you bum!), something expensive - share it with everyone.

Its not a bad idea. However pricing is horrible. They seem to be going after the quality payments over quantity, which with something like instructional videos for a video game you really want quantity. Doing like $30 a year sub or doing $5 a month will get more people to buy, or breaking the lessons down into different categories and selling the category at a set price.
