Are these ammos cost effective in your experience to use on level 4 missions with a mael or mach. I know that it depends on how much isk you make per hour and also if the ammos increase you killing time by enough to offset the cost but I wanted to ask others opinions on it since there are many here who have been playing much longer than me.

I use fleet ammo in those ships when using Artillery. Not with Autocannons.

Works great. Costs a lot. 'Bout it.

I basically use Tech 2 ammo almost all the time and carry Faction ammo in cargohold which I'll switch to for increased damage when needed.

I see no reason to use stock ammo when you're skilled to use T2 weapons, expecially when flying an expensive ship.

This, basically. If you're running a Maelstrom, perhaps not. If you're in a Vargur or Machariel? Go to town. Personally I don't find Barrage all that useful on the Vargur (probably not on the Machariel either) because its main benefit is increased falloff range, both of which those two ships have plenty of. It also limits you to one damage profile only, where you can choose different damage type outputs with Republic Fleet ammo. It may work better against Angels who are vulnerable to the damage it inflicts, though.

If you've reached the point where you're flying a billion + ISK ship for running missions, why skimp on the ammo? Use the stuff that will let you complete missions faster.

PVP is a question with no single right answer, but a lot of wrong ones.

The LP you get are free. One missions lp will earn enough for 10 or 20 missions ammo.

LP are not free. You did mission for them. You can have profit from them my selling LP Store items, or have that 10% more damage from faction ammo. If you don't have almost maxed out skills for ammo then using faction ammo is even less economical. I would use faction ammo for pvp, marauders, artilleries (maybe i forgot about something). If you do missioning and u use a lot of ammo, then faction ammo will cut your profits

I was kinda trollin :) but I do have that attitude for incursions., Yes I run faction if I dps on incursion.

I actually hate gatherings stuff for lp store no matter the profit.

Barrage is pretty nice but only after your faction short range gets out to 50% falloff. Till then its faction ammo. On my mach thats about 40 km but thats all 5's with tracking enhancers and a faction tracking computer. I can't run the computer for missions cause I'm not remote repped.

Barrage is pretty nice, I ran titanium for the extra tracking as well as range for a while until I ran dps with tracking numbers. USE python fitting assistant and an NPC database to run some graphs against your toughest targets. Way to many variable to make a blanket statement against all npcs.
