Refined price is what you get if you sell minerals obtained from refining.
Sell price is what you sell for on market.
Please note that all prices are not perfectly accurate, there's no way to get perfectly accurate ingame prices. It is also very important what price type do you choose.

It is corect that 2b sell totals means you get 2b for selling on market.

EveRefinery has an option to ignore small selling advantages, hence the green.

Millions and millions of thanks to you, Codeguard - 1 for every ISK I've earned using your excellent app!

I'm very happy with its form and functionality, but there's one aspect which I find a little frustrating, and two other small suggestions I'd like to make:

I use this almost daily to purchase off the market to reprocess for profit, but when updating the prices I often find they're out of date - items remain on the list which are no longer there.
Am I missing some tweak, or does the price averaging necessarily ignore moment to moment changes? My 2 cents, being able to update to real-time prices and availability would be immensely useful.

Being able to filter based on Sec would also be useful. Granted, I can check this fairly easily in Eve, but have made a few rash purchases in a state of excited haste.

I'd love to have a column which compared Delta to Volume, to easily see ISK/m3.

That's it. Thanks again, and your cheque is in the mailSmile

Cholly.

Oh yeah, and what's up with the Pax Amarria refining yield? Do you have a stake in the sale of those books?)

Love ye.

Hi Codeguard, i'm trying to install your program, I also checked and I have .Net 3.5 framework installed correctly, I created a folder where run the exe , the installer started to download but it hangs downloading file EveDatabase.db (1,69MB / 3,00MB) , all other files are downloaded fine, the Update button isn't active.
Any idea on how to fix this ?

TY

my connection does not allow me to download the downloader because of proxy and i dont use windows at home

thanks in advance

Nice program.... but ... is anyone actually using this for large ammount of loot? Its way too time consuming to check each and every piece of loot, maybe in the future an option to make it easier would be nice

Cholly Chi,
I use eve-central.com to retrieve prices. There's no way to retrieve ingame. Hence the delays, not perfectly accurate prices. Filtering by security would be rather difficult and I believe is not something i'm going to implement in the nearest future.
Delta to volume... Not sure. Maybe. As for Pax Amarria, that's what EVE database reports. Probably they are, in fact, refinable.

Skyfar ,
My best suggestion would be trying it again and doing all those typical steps like restarting your computer, deleting and starting over and such.

Bonez Collector,
Try plaing Eve windowed. It rocks.

Took a bit of time to collect my notes. So, here's what i could be doing in the future, without any specific order and promises.

  • Price/Volume, Delta/Volume columns
  • Dim colors a bit
  • Filtering & searching
  • Removing items from assets by hand
  • Adding ALL items, not just refinable
  • Second prices column
  • Refresh specific prices on demand
  • Copy specific item name from list

Hi Codeguard,
i tried everything , I restarted, tried to run updater in a different folder (like C:\EveRefinery) but it still hangs at downloading EveDatabase.db file at 1.69MB / 3.00MB Straight, will try in a different pc and let you know.

Great program, was exactly what I was hoping for :)

Questions:

Delta - can you give a brief explanation of this? Is it just the difference between sell value and refined value?

Why the crazy long delay timer on assets updating? i'm showing 6 hours. Is this normal?

Delta is indeed the difference between refine and sell prices.
The delay on updating assets is set server-side by CCP.

First of all a great thanks for such a great program.

Now to my question.

Codeguard , I just hit a 504 Gateway timeout error now in every attempt to pull data from eve-central(mineral prices/sell or by prices) i would like to ask if there is maximum time where we can do requests to eve-central per time period ?
or could it be some bug in the coding, i have tried deleting everything except the updater and re updated eve refinery but it will still show the 504 Gateway timeout error.

Note that i am currently playing eve now so its not possible that my internet connection is down and going to eve-central's website is fine with me o.o

Detail of the error is as below

I think this is simply a temporary effect on the side of eve-central.
If the problem persists, try to open eve-central.com in your browser and see what happens.

Hm, I do lik the program overall, great idea and seems to at least partially work as intended!

Problem i'm finding is that items shown on the list aren't often there in system(update lag maybe?) and more often than not, all the reprocess numbers seem to be higher than they actually are, despite having set the station effiecency and tax, and taking account into my skills as well. For instance, an item might say its sell value is 700,000isk and refine value is at 2mil or so, but upon refining, its actually only around 1.4

Could be that the mineral prices are outdated for the system. Someone could have sold a big chunk of minerals that crashed the price on the market before you.

What I usually do is to load the BuyMax value for the system in the options , check the buy value for the minerals on the markets in eve. tweak as necessary. That should get you the proper price.

So far , I have not lost isk while using this program , except for that one time where I was half asleep and bought above the refine price of goods(thankfully it was less than a million in losses). In 1 month of usage, I have made quite alot from buying>refining>selling minerals.

The prices on items are indeed not very accurate, i have explained that many times above.
The discrepancy you observe should be due to the lag, wrong price type selected, wrong mineral prices, or incorrect refine skills selected. You can identify a specific issue by doing step-by-step checks, starting with checking the mineral prices and refined amounts.
