I just bought an Alienware Tactx keyboard that has the AlienFX feature. However I wanted to know how to change eves settings for what it tells AlienFX to do. Is there any way to specify this?

For example I really find it annoying when my entire keyboard flashes warnings in combat, its incredibly distracting. I didn't think it'd flash the entire keyboard, I just thought it would flash the notifier lights/control button lights at the top, not the whole thing. Is there a way to make it do that?

Also wanted to know if there's a way to set the default idle colour for AlienFX while your in-game, right now it changes to blue as soon as I log in and I'm unable to keep the previous theme I had before (is this intended?). Although I'm not too concerned with that one because, well, what if your theme is the same colour as the warnings etc.. Its just the entire keyboard flashing that bugs me, having an option to specify which area of lights are affected by in-game AlienFX would make it a lot easier on the eyes and not such an annoying distraction.

Or is this not something controllable by third party programs/games and should I then be directing this towards Alienware instead, to add an option to specify which areas of the keyboard are affected by third party AlienFX access?

You can set up an eve profile with your alienfx software which can control colour, flashing etc.
