Blue Screen from ExeFile.exe (eve)

Anyone else randomly getting BSD (blue screen of death) when playing?

For the last week or so I've been getting a BSD at least once per day caused by ExeFile.exe (eve online).

It's happened near stations/gates when i'm docking/jumping and has also happened in warp.

Windows 7 reliability points the BSDs to ExeFile.exe.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Cheers,
Dan

I am having exactly the same issue. Sometimes it's while changing session but more often it's just completly random.

I'm running 2x AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series cards in crossfire but even when I turn that off still the same. I have tried running on just one var of ram to see if one of those was broken but no luck.

Memtest results are negative, video card stress tests are all in the green, my main drive is an SSD and it's updated to the latest firmware. I have played heavier games on this rig with no issues so not sure what's the problem.

Iron

bump?

Still happens every time I log in. It occurs at a random time, but it is solely when I am in EVE.

The error message I get on the blue screen is IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL.

I also have mini dump files that are created, but I don't know how to read them.

Anyone have any workarounds/solutions?

YES!

Has been happening to me to, almost every night. I've had more crashes this past 5 days on my W7/64 system than the previous 2.5 years. First occurrence was about a week ago as I docked. That also reset half my settings (can we get all settings exportable/editable any time soon PLEASE?).

Since then I've tested a few things, updating, removing and adding stuff, and I am now using a 3 month old system backup (that worked fine).

I've left my PC on every night, and when EVE is running it crashes, typically around 02:00-02:30 GMT.
If EVE is not running it has not crashed.

The only other thing I can think of is autoupdate of time, however it seems unlikely. And I just turned that off for testing.

Haven't seen any bluescreen for ages, so it's definitely not necessarily the game's fault (more likely driver or hardware related due to the game running at a completely different "level").

What would be more important: The next time the bluescreen appears, try writing down the displayed error code and it's name (if any). You'll usually find it at the upper half of the screen on the far left. Also, are you sure exefile.exe is named as the source/location (write that one down too!)?

The numbers and listings are complety unusual, I doubt loads of hex adresses will tell anyone anything. In my crashes, exefile.exe is not named. It just happens when EVE is running, not Mass Effect 3, Rage, Age of Conan, Rift, StarCraft or any other games I play all the time.

I play about 14 hours a day right now, on vacation, and my system never crashes unless EVE is running, nor has it ever for over 2.5 years. As you said, haven't seen BSD's in ages. For me, this is not a driver or new hardware issue, that's all been covered and tested, incl a 5 hour memory test. The by far most likely causes for me are EVE, or failing hardware that have yet to break (and just bad luck it happens when EVE is running).

I will test further, by running other games (or none at all) for long periods (sleep/work cycles).
I remember I increased graphic options about a week ago (HDR enabled + PP from None/Low to High and AA from None to Low). Will test reducing them again. Most BSD's happen when docked though, sitting in the couch in my quarters.

The addresses don't matter, but the error code (the number before the brackets) is important as it might help you identify the reason.
