It's gold, it has a weak face at the front, and it shares those spikes with the Archon. But I wouldn't want to see it in game as it is.

Fix'ed

Froward bridge area is recessed thus eye socket looking. Right side is sensors.
Forward section is split thus your mandibles.
Combat bridge is on the left side only.
underside and center top side missing armor plates
Left forward side is project forward of the right side, also has an intake.
Forecastle is not an amarrian trait only the archeron and aeon have something you could call that.
overall shape is a quadshell with the point of orgin near the nose and only the bottom two arches reconnect.
engine section and understide stabilizers are heavily segemented at various levels.
No 'UU' shape in overall design.
All arches when any are a single run.
Of course gold lining and not so gold lining but I restraint to 1 hour prevented me in getting the 'details' in.

That'd help. Your image with your description is a lot more appealing than your image alone. Some of what you describe I think I should see, but don't: where's the combat bridge on the left? Is it the wing-looking bit near the back? What you say are mandibles just look like a shallow groove in the armor. The bulk along the bottom is what first struck me as off about the ship -- but maybe there's nothing behind what's exposed.

'Forecastle' was the wrong term. I was thinking of the upper bridge that's prominent on the Arbitrator and less prominent on the Coercer.

Typically called a super structure on most ships but in science fiction you really really do not want an 'exposed' bridge.

I use painter sai it was 50 usd.

Sketchbook Pro? Ill have to give it a spin

I however can't afford photoshop at the moment and last time i was able to toy with it, it certainly felt like it was made by programmers for programmers.

Well there's a tangent that has little to do with what I said and answers none of my questions.

The way new ship design should work is this.

1) What role is there that lacks a dedicated ship?
2) Is there a ship that's supposed to do this but is currently broken?
3) design new ship if no ship currently exists.

As far as I've always been aware destroyers are meant as frigate killers\heavy tacklers.
How does having cruiser size guns on it help it kill frigs?

You say it's aimed at other cruisers but every other cruiser would be better suited for killing cruisers.

Excellent design choice opening a new Bomber type perspective (because bomb launcher design is what it is)

Lacks some side up'n down views, more details but looks nice. (at least better than Catalyst ! )

Road Map to most of NFX Ship designs.

1 Unmarry (Divorce) Roles from ship or module
2 Does Role by itself exist?
3 Does it Break Eve on mechanics along (ignore numbers)
4 Does it fit into Eve program wise?
5 Does it role stomp anything else's role?
6 Be bold go in newer directions this avoids role stomping the most.
7 Bend but do not break standards.
8 Know the limits set in place, ie 8 slots max, Hulk Ultimate Miner etc etc.
9 Abuse your own role look for exploits with it in every possible angle you can. This requires exentisive studing in past exploits.
10 Prenerf prenerf prenerf
11 Now decide if best suited for ship, module, rig, skill or a combination of such.
12 Once constructed get shot by your idea, then shoot your idea from all angles and fonts.
13 Important part - Hate your own idea.
14 Throw an idea together and then forget about it, read it a time later and hate it again.
15 apologize
16 make things better
17 repeat 13-16 until satisfactory
18 Do final checks against other roles, patch changes, readable future projections in ccp development then finally come out with the idea. Return to step 1 if and when nessecary. Do not be afraid to retire ideas that are out of date or no longer have a place.

Ex-US Navy, Aviation Electrican I have torn up the plane I worked on entirely apart before and put it back together in working order hence the joke Aviation Everything...
Current College student IT field.
Free time - not alot. To the point my corp wallet started to cry about it being out of money to pay 1 cheap station's bill.
Would like to go into game design but dont have time to sit down and study.
I have no art training, I've been self trained, I really dont have the software either or time.
My mind does not cope with lack of activity too well. So I'm constantly comming up with new ideas all the time.
I seriously think my pencil sketches are much better than my virtual versions but my scanner really sucks.

great idea for these new heavy destroyers. if CCP decides to make them im shure they will find thier place in new eden much like the Tier 3 battlecrusiers. Im interested if you will be showing us a Minmatar and a caldai one shortly.
