Hello ladies and gents, today I bring unto your eyes the MD Awards - a set of medals to boost one's ego. The winners of the awards will be decided by none other than the MD itself, and the prize is 1b ISK, supplied by Kagan Storm (prizes be paid on 2.11.) Without further speaking, here are the awards!

MD Innovative Entrepreneur
- awarded to the one that has shown remarkable abilities in scheming new tactics or posting wall-o'texts on the forum. It can be a new trading plan, a massively successful market manipulation or similar.
Nominatees: Vaerah Vahrokha, Akita T

MD Most Successful Troll - awarded to the one that has a) collapsed most loan/bond/IPO offerings and/or b) Showed remarkable abilities in the field of sarcasm and mockery.
Nominatees: Misty, Ray McCormack, Liberty Eternal

MD Reformer
- awarded to the person that has affected MD most over the past weeks/months/years.
Nominatees: Hexxx

MD Scammer-Schemer - awarded to the person that has completed the most successful scam recently. Must be somehow affiliated with MD to receive the award. Successful scam is determined by the amount of money gained from it, and the complexity and cunningness of the scam.
Nominatees: Phaser Inc, The Jita Bank, Bad Bobby(1)

MD Begger
- awarded to the person with most completed loand/bonds or the most successful IPO. This is determined by both the amount of time the IPO has been running, and the amount of money it has produced its investors.
Nominatees: Edwin Rothbard, AtheistOfFail

MD 1337 pro Insider Tradecard Holder - Awarded to the person with most reputation (preferrably positive) in MD. Simply put, the one with most e-fame.
Nominartees: Hexxx, Tornsoul, Grendell

MD R.I.P - awarded to the one that is most missed in the MD forum. Preferrably awarded to someone who has actually left the MD forum.
Nominatees: Kazzac Elentria, Vaerah Vahrokha, Eefrit, Femintaki

MD Rising Star - awarded to the person who is showing most promise as an MDer or a trader. Receiver must be relatively new to the forums and either shown remarkable abilities in bond/IPO running or creating new tactics or schemes for the MD to enjoy, or for being generally thought as a promise.
Nominatees: Kethas Protagonist

Further awards to be posted as they are invented!

The Rules

- Only one vote per person, votes from known alts will be ignored
- Nominations will continue for three weeks, after which there will be a week of furious voting. Winners will be announced on 2.11 (or a few days earlier).
- If the receiver of R.I.P award is unreachable, the money will go to the Receiver of MD Rising Star - award.
- If nobody in a spesific category get any votes, I will choose the winner myself.

So, the results are finally here! As only one category got voted for the winner, I chose them myself (you lazy fucks).

Here they are!

MD Innovative Entrepreneur: Vaerah Vahrokha, for his/her intelligent opinions and high knowledge in TA. He/she helped many traders with his graph threads and videos, and he also was one of the most active auditors in MD (well, "active"). He/she left MD after some disagreements with CCP and their policy.

MD Most Successful Troll: Misty McGinnity (AKA Jerry Pepridge, I think) In his active months in MD he delighted us all with his "want pledge 20b" phrases and other such.

MD Reformer: Hexxx, someone else can come up with reasoning for this.

MD Scammer/Schemer: Bad Bobby, for being the only one receiving votes (You lazy fucks) and for pulling of one of the most sophisticated, and beautiful scams in Eve History.

MD Begger: Edwin Rothbard for having gained great success in his IPOs and Eve Hold'em casino thingy.

MD 1337: Hexxx

MD R.I.P: Vaerah Vahrokha for being a missed person in MD.

MD Rising Star: Kethas Protagonist for managing to pull off a myriad of bonds and loans, growing his capital from 300m to 45b in less than a year (according to his own words) and being thought trustworthy enough to receive 30b uncollateralized.

If Kagan Storm wasn't trolling and these qualify as "essaysWhat?" these are the people you can pay the prizes to (except Bad Bobby And Vaerah Vahrokha)

I think the idea is fun but 2 weeks is way too short - let it run for a few months and collect ISK for actual cash prices (... then award yourself the scammer award, trolololol)

in any case I nominate Kazzac Elentria for the RIP award.

Me me me!! Pick me! Puhwwwwwweeeeaze!! This one time I tried to pirate but it didn't work so well so I tried some other things and then I tried to buy low and sell high and then I buyed high and sold low and that didn't work either so I borrowed money and then I made things and then I went to some dangerous icky place and I sold them and I made money back and then I shot some things and then I made more money and then I borrowed more money and buyed stuff and sold stuff and then after that i had to take a break and in the future it will be even better and more complicated and great new tactics you never heard of and I'm really serious like that guy Imaserious he had such a serious name then I changed the way the whole of MD looked at me especially since Jerry Springer gave me 10/10 for my post which was great and shows how great a little girl is in this big bad world of eve and then I got tired and I had a heart attack and then I saw space ponies but then I had to come back because I still didn't finish the last loan which I will do soon because I made a lot of monies and then I saw this post and I won the internet!!!

There! I think I won most of the awards! Now I am going to go lie down and pass away. I mean out. Twisted

I like the idea of MD awards, though giving awards to scammers is debatable. You could argue that this:
1. Condones scamming
2. Encourages scamming. Scammers may say at the end that they scammed just to get this award.

I understand that most people generally accept scamming as part of Eve, but MD has always tried to identify scammers and warn investors against them. Thus I am not sure if I am in support of this award, though I am quite sure that my opinion is of little value, and scammers are more likely to be revered than reviled on this forum.

May I nominate VV for MD R.I.P. as I genuinely miss her obsessive compulsive opinions on everything MD related.

Edit: VV = Vaerah Vahrokha

Any colour you like.

While it's true that MD tries to hold scammers off, it rarely holds (great) grudge against them. It sometimes treats them with humour. And if someone goes through huge trouble to make a masterscheme to rip money off their investors, why not give them some credit? And by this I mean the more complicated ones, not just the 'take-and-run' ones.

And you could even argue that by bringing these scams to light you are increasing awareness about the issue.

Were I organizing these awards, I would have had to think long and hard about this. Fortunately, I am not :)

Best of luck!

Are you sure this is in the right forum? I mean, posting this criminally bad should probably be in C&P.
