Every day CCP does something else to nudge me closer to stop the subbing.
I am one of those people where real money is tight, and play for my game time by buying plexes.

But CCP with this promotion just drove up plex prices 30-40 M literally overnight.
Given the "success" of this promotion, surely they will do it again.

Some of us don't have the additional time in game to grind ISK to keep paying ever higher prices CCP.

And yeah, for those saying I am whiner, you can't have my stuff.

Dude 30M is equal to reward from Dread Pirate Scarlet mission. If you don't have time to run one additional mission per month to buy PLEX - you shouldn't play online games, really.

Also use your brain. Right after fanfest presentation you had plenty of time to stock PLEXes for your future market speculation (buy for 490 two weeks ago, sell for 530 today, get PROFIT).

lol strokes his nvidia 580 yet again ....

i think the basic idea of the this promo is to tell the eve comunity that its time to update your hardware as ccp are gonna begin updating thier software .... its not really that expensive to keep your rigs uptodate ...if you can manage your rl money wisely ...

For those stating that this will be a legit way for RMTer's to "cash out", consider this:

1: One card per account.
2: Limit of 100 available.
3: If I had 20 accounts, I could theoretically purchase 20 cards. However, unless I had 20 post office boxes all of those cards would be shipped to the same address... making those 20 accounts a lovely target for CCP to investigate. Smile
4: If I were doing RMT why would I take a loss (the card is worth half the value of the PLEX spent on it) to do this.

Common sense. Love it, learn it, use it.

See point 3. If you had 20 accounts, and burned the PLEX for 20 cards, and were NOT into RMT then an investigation hurts you not at all. If you ARE into RMT, you just put a spotlight on yourself, and lost money to boot (see point 4).

As long as you follow CCP's rules, I highly doubt they care how many video cards you ship to the same address. They also don't care what you do with them... use them, donate them, Ebay them, melt them, smoke them.

Why should they care, they did create the rules didn't they?

I want a damned graphics card @ CCP!
This offer was a bad joke - I never even saw the damn link to the offer while I was refreshing the site for 4 frakking hours!
How about you make an offer - let people pre-order and then determine how many cards you offer??
How does that sound?

"How to be a genuine b****" AKA the hypocrite human character"

It goes like this:
Step one - tons of people saying CCP rips them off by selling way overpriced and useless graphic cards.
Step two - tons of people blaming CCP for having problems with the Account Management. Of course, they didn't forget to reiterate how overpriced, good for nothing, old etc the graphic cards were anyway ( 0.0 players know the argument as "we didn't want that system anyway" )
Step three - The graphic cards were sold in under 2 minutes.
Steep four - tons of people blaming CCP for not "giving away" enough graphic cards, despite the fact that, at step one, they were against the idea of selling those graphic cards at all.

This only confirms the fact that hypocrisy has no limit when it comes to human kind Twisted

Btw: Thanks CCP for giving away those 100 graphic cards. Unlike changes that occur ingame with each patch, which are mandatory and apply for everyone, this experiment was free for all, so there's no logical reason to blame CCP unless you're either an idiot or a malevolent person.

Allowing limited exchange of ISK for real-world goods is a great way to reign in EVE's runaway inflation.
But please, CCP, for the love of God, STOP using PLEx for stuff like this. If PLEx prices go much higher, they'll become out of reach for many casual gamers (i.e. people over 15 who actually have jobs, girlfriends, etc.).

I doubt most of them were different people. This kind of propaganda is very spread in eve: When you want something, you make propaganda against it so other people believe it doesn't worth investing time or isk , which means you, the initiator of the propaganda, have better chances to get it. It's so obvious how it works...

LOL.....

You are aware that none of the ISK involved in the PLEX trades surrounding this offer were removed from the game, yes? The only thing removed from the game were PLEXes, and as you already noticed that drives PLEX prices up, which contributes to inflation.

But don't feel too bad. I'm 100% willing to believe CCP's awesome economist somehow arrived at the same conclusion you did.

Yes, actually, I am aware of that. Looking back at my post, I guess it would have been more clear to say, "Allowing limited exchange of ISK would be a great way . . .
