ok ccp why have u decided not to give the drones loot . secondly where are officer spawns . and 3 no faction mods this really does need to be fixed u can not decide to change the rats to bounties and then make it so there is no chance of some good stuff . is this what escalation is going to be or can we expect more as the days go along before the final patch .

You do know that drones have been given a bounty right? Its been in the works for quite some time now

Essencially it is to kill gunmining, making mining a more appealing profession again.

The way i understood what would happen is drones would give a higher bounty but drop no loot, however compared to even Pure Blind rats they seem kind of low value, currently trying out a horde in a -1.0 system, the highest bounty so far is only 1,218,750 from an Alvas Queen

Yes Meta 0 is being removed from all drops, however m1 to m4 is still there, in the past PvE'ers would melt down m1, m2 and sometimes m3 if it were low isk value, as you can get more isk that way, the problem with drones is that they dont drop any loot at all, and the bounties are very low for what should be high quality space

Though, historically, this could be considered the wrong place b/c they have a history of ignoring most of the feedback the testers give them...until the patch hits TQ, then the masses complain and they make a token attempt to 'fix' it...

Yeah, they could drop meta 1-4 items just like other rats do. However, the lore of rogue drones can explain their stingyness as a rat type. That is that they don't take over other ships and incorporate any of their meta 1-4 items into the ship so they should never drop any of those. Just like they should not drop any salvage. Don't know why that was changed.

Also, why should anyone expect any faction spawns that actually drop faction items? I know years ago I made a killing on sentient dren. There were so many spawns of them and they dropped so many components with which to make incredibly powerful drones that had split damage and not more of it. So really there is no need in the game for some faction drone mods that come from rogue drones. Just be happy with the incredibly powerful integrated or whatever drones you can make from the oft seen sentient spawns. Who would ever want a cool bpc for a drone rig that augments scout drone damage or something new to the game?

No, it is far better to fix the mineral/mining problem by simply putting a bounty on rogue drones, and removing any drop from them. Drone region folks have no need for meta 1-4 or faction mods.

edit- or ships! I know that noone would want a cool ship with clutching claws sticking out of it. Oh but you say their ships are infected so we could never pilot them. Yeah, that is why there are no sansha implants. I mean what if there were sansha implants they would instantly turn you into a sansha and off you'd go zombifying people in hisec and such.
