So I was randomly clicking the eve website when I ran into this.

UITRA THe Forge Security - 0.9 // Ships lost (30 days) 7526 ????? um how ? , or better yet why ?

http://www.eveonline.com/universe/people-personalities/?uitra

You would think 0.0 would have have a large amount of ships losses, but nope it is completely dead.

Only one system of note in 0.0 for the last 30 days.

6VDT-H Ships lost (30 days) 2157

Add in the surrounding systems..

And it's less campers and noobships.. it's also a common place to camp for WT's, as many corps have a presence at Jita..

That's what I was aiming toward. I've sat in Jita and in 20 minutes I could watch half a dozen noob ships and T1 frigs go pop. All to war targets.

But we are not talking about Jita but rather Uitra which has twice as many ships killed every month.

http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Uitra

A system that has 60 people in it right now.

Not Jita with 1,000 + members 24x7.

The number seems out of proportion.

It has always been this way. Just look at the in-game map with "ships destroyed in the last 24 hours" enabled. Hisec is a slaughterhouse.

Some people do manage to believe that in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Simple population is significantly higher. We'd need to look at the ratio per systems not the total number. Also a lot of 1v1 can flipping R v B, and war targets... Then throw in gankers.

But once again they're all there due to high traffic volume.

Obviously otherwise nobody would live there and feel safe. On the other hand...

Isn't Uitra one of the career agent systems, where people embark on the “mandatory death” newbie mission?

Which happens to be the Gallente starter system. Though, I have no clue if the number of new players is enough to justify those kills from a pair of guaranteed death missions.

This might be because the starter missions on gallente side are buggy atm. You don't have the skill to equip the repair module you are supposed to equip on 2nd mission, maybe they get owned after trying it without any repair systems ^^, so double death yawn.

I remember Arnon being the brightest spot on the map for a very long time because of that "Burning the Hive" mission of the epic arc.

Post with your monkey.

Gallente space is home to many industrial pilots and miners. We also have 3 trade hubs. None as popular as Jita but they are definitely busy.
