Mission disappeared between disconnects

I'm referring to the mining mission number 4. This morning I've experienced constant disconnecting from the server (like every 3-4 minutes), and now the mining agent doesn't have any missions for me.

Is there any workaround for this?

Also, I cannot add any dxdiag or anything at the moment since I am at work. I didin't get the time to post this before leaving :).

Any advice would be appreciated

Submit a petition, a GM should be able to reset the mission for you.

I can't help with the disconnects — I get the same myself: rock steady for a couple of weeks, then a night of horrible connectivity to EVE Online, then rock steady again.

So it's not much more than a day or so, right? I have a trial and I'm considering to subscribe when it's over, but with constant disconnects I'm not seeing it happen.

Also, thanks a bunch for the quick reply. I'm still reeeeally noobish and can barely find my way around :)

Obvious things to check wrt disconnects are ping times, stability of your Internet connection, whether your computer is able to handle the load.

Submit a separate petition asking about the disconnects - I can't find a convenient reference within 5 minutes of looking, hopefully the GMs will be able to point you in the right direction.

And as an aside, make sure you take the time to read through the New Citizens Useful Threads page on the EVElopedia. This is totally unrelated to your technical issues, but it might help you find your way around the game.

Actually, filing one petition would be the best option. A GM can handle the issue with the missions if you can't request them again, and then hand the petition off to a technical GM who will be able to assist with your disconnect issues.

To give a little bit more information in this regard:

A mission site for a mission that has been marked as "Objective Completed" in the mission description will not respawn anymore after a downtime, as this means that the required mission item has become available for pick up. As the containers with the mission item will not last for long in general (usually for about 1 to 2 hours), you should make sure to pick that up as soon as you can (also due to others being able to take that item as well if they can find the mission site) and eventually postpone the mission until after downtime if there is not much time left.

If the mission has not been marked as "Objective completed" and you logged off within the mission site prior to or due to a downtime, then docking or changing system before returning to the mission bookmark after the downtime will make the mission site reappear in almost all cases.

For any other issues with a mission that you are trying to complete and can't for some reason, file a petition into the "Agent Missions in Progress" category for the quickest way to get in touch with a GM on those matters and have it fixed.
