It's a bad card. It's not even a 560Ti. It's just a GTX card which that even my 6950 beats.

$300 in Plex for a $200 Video Card.

They also said that CCP would be fronting tax, shipping fees and customs costs. I would call this a pretty fair deal. ESPECIALLY when you can earn said PLEX with in game cash and never have to pay a dime of real money for it.

It is also a perfectly good card for running EvE. A lot of ignorance and greed floating around in this thread.

This is also just a test to see how it works out. I am sure they will offer much better cards if all goes well in the future.

Best isk sink ever, I hope CCP makes some profit on a few levels. Its a great incentive to actually play the game. I like the PS3 idea myself cause I don't have the oomph for that card. Hey Maybe CCP will go into the hardware business so guys with obsolete systems can keep up.

I love how people are trying to FIND ways for this PLEX for cards things to be abused Big smile

At the end of the day, even if someone has that ISK "sitting around" its still ISK that can be turned into PLEX and sold for money. If I win the lottery I may have a bunch of money just lying around, but that still has monetary value and every dollar is worth just as much as every dollar a poor schmuck working at McDonalds for $9 an hour makes.

I could reiterate what others said that the GFX card is extremely overpriced, which it is, or that the GTX 680 was recently released by nvidia so this GFX card will be dropping even more in the next couple of months, but thats obviously falling on deaf ears.

A pro botter who is selling ISK for real money isn't going to bother buying an overpriced, mid-range graphics card for the hopes of selling it on ebay (who buys GFX cards on ebay with no RMA policies or warantees anyway? GFX cards are fickle and often have heating/load problems. I'd never trust ebay for one of the most expensive/intergral parts of a gaming PC). Botters will make more money just converting to PLEX or selling on a 3rd party site as usual.

The only person this should appeal to is someone with no life/job who cant afford to actually buy PC parts, but has time to sit and play EVE for hours on end. If this is you, go crazy.
The concept is a cool, but the process and value is flawed.
