But you only need to move it to the bottom once? When you doubleclick to expand it, it still sticks to the bottom.

I disliked the old functionality, because the minimized windows overlapped the stuff I already had on the bottom. I usually closed windows because the bottom part became cluttered. A bar area down there would reserve screen estate, unless they implemented it so that the region only appears once you minimize something. It would still look funny, unless you minimize a lot of windows there.

Yes, I'd be sad if they removed this, but it co-existed with old minimize functionality so there probably is no reason to remove it.

Window buttons/features don't need to be limited, having all three would make most sense:

- minimize from min button to NeoCom
- minimize to bottom region with shift-something (or vice versa, you get the point)

The Neocom icons and their visual clues do need a lot of work. I still have hard time distinguishing them from each other, and the minimized state is not visible at all.

Yep... you just described one way to improve things and also one way to use the windowing system. People are used to something and would rather stick with the behaviour if it has felt fine to them. If there are improvements, they should be done in such way, that at usability remains at least on same level

Quite a few people have way too many windows open to keep them on bottom. The "double clicking header bar and moving window to bottom"-solution has been brought up before and the feedback has been mostly negative as it being real solution to lost usability there. It is one workaround for some though

The reason why I've suggested having narrow maybe 12-13 pixels high bar on bottom was because quite a few, just like you, have been saying that "I disliked the old feature (mainly) because minimized windows overlapped the stuff I already had on the bottom". Having the actual bar there for windows would be improvement for that. It would also be small downgrade for screen estate, but in the end the benefits are greater than the losses for players as whole (specially if some additional information is added to the bar). Obviously the optimal solution would be to have option to either have the bar and minimize to bottom or not have the bar and minimize to neocom. That might be over complex to issue like this though

Any way... because of stuff like this it would nice to have this project reopened and discussed to the point everyone (99%) can agree to.

"copy pasting numbers with period or comma"-issue got fixed, compare tool can now be assigned to some keyboard short cut and it seems that partial stack transfers between hangars do no longer cause funny error messages and overloaded ships. At least I wasn't able to reproduce them any more when I tried briefly.

3 good steps taken, no new ones added.

Modular POS isnt just a 'small fix", it would change POS mechanics massively. It would affect many many players who might not want the change. It indeed needs to be discussed a lot more before they do anything to it

yeah wardec mechanics need a fix, though they seem to be changing the wardec mechanics... in favor of carebears which is kinda lol because, wardec is specifically for PVP...

Corp/alliance roles/tools are also a MAJOR MASSIVE change. No matter how its changed, it will greatly effect the security of everyone's corps and alliances.


It seems CCP's primary goal in Crucible has been to clean up all the 'little things', and they've done an -awesome- job at that. They've introduced really small but incredibly helpful features (Those yellow market orders, i'm lookin at you!), Condensed user lists, Retexturing and remodeling ships.

The POS/Corp/Alliance management stuff im sure is to come, but thats probably for another expansion next year. Be happy that they've noticed all the small broken or annoying things, and are fixing them. 'death by a thousand paper cuts" is a terrible way to die

I like the solution for bounties.

I don't see why it is up to us to lobby CCP incessantly to fix their game. They are on top of the world right now, but as seen last year, subscribers can leave at any time, and they will if the game doesn't deliver what they want.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

Get rid of "Excell" like windows

It's possible, needs some inboard scan adjustments and a lot of other funky stuff but absolutely sure this SPACE SHIP game UI can give you a lot more information on screen than now without all those pesky windows wasting my spaceship game uber graphics.

Didn't have time to read all the great suggestions but one I'd really like to see is a "back" and "forward" arrow on the market window so that I can just cycle through the item's I was checking prices on without having to go back and click on that item on the side or enter it in the search window again to bring up the prices in the different systems I'm in.
