Chatgris its not a "fear of losing isk" Im the last to care. Its the...meh another solo nanodrake trying to pick off the tackeler and run away. Im not saying it isnt a legit way of fighting. Im just saying I wont entertain a lone drake anymore because its not worth the time to try and pin him down. If he jumps through a gate sure we fight it, but Im not going to take a fleet and run after him.

Well, I've seen criticism that gallente stay in gangs, and now I see criticism that it's not worth fighting just one guy. Is there a particular fleet size that you are looking to engage?

They said they went to Messoya but we went there (twice) to find two lone frogs.

You remind me of me 18 months ago! :)

We can all just come back to black rise and make you squiddies stay docked again if you want? Or need more time to respawn, just let me know mate.

Just here pointing out that the "default" fleets mentioned numerous times in this thread are Thrashers and Drakes.

I really wish CCP would get on with ship balancing. So. Boring.

You forgot tornado's, they also make excellent fleets. (I too wish for more ships to be viable).

No, it's simple mathematics of range/tank, dps/tank, etc. with enemy smugness/morale also factored in. After all, most battles in eve are determined by such things long before any actual engagement happens.

Fantastic thread, OP. Now, let us see what the Militia statistics say, shall we?

... Oh dear. Well, nevermind.

Ooooh! Statistics! What about actual achievements which have been noticed in game news or eve-lore?
Trying to be objective here.

Amarr Militia:

First militia to destroy a supercarrier
First militia to destroy a titan (with assistance from Gal militia)

Caldari militia:

First t3 kill in history of Eve
Low-sec doomsday
Highest ranking militia in alliance tournament (despite CCP's official badmouthing)
Conquering all Gallente systems and holding them for 10 months
Conquering most of Metropolis (though mainly to demonstrate bug in system and for the lulz. Still made it to news)

Gallente militia:

First militia to destroy a titan (With assistance from Amarr militia)

Minmatar militia:

? (Unless getting your hand held by star fraction for long time counts as one)

Oh boy, it's these CalMil points again.

Okay, I've got one:

Caldari Militia:

Most persistent belief that 'remember when we did that cool thing that time?' justifies consistent poor across-the-board performance in the present and is a reasonable excuse to pull up at any criticism directed their way.

Caldari militia has always been the shittiest if you look at it from statistic perspective and it would be foolish for me to try deny that. On the other hand, this much mocked carebear infested scheissehaus is also responsible for many of the best known shenigans in history of FW.

But you dodged the question and the point of my response. What is the memorable and defining moment of Minmatar militia? No matter what happens, low-sec dd is something which will be remembered, Amarr/Gallente will be remembered for PL Titan kill. What is the "I was there" moment of minmatar militia?

And I do apologise if there is such a thing which has caused waves in public (I must have missed it), but right now I cannot remember any.

I am beginning to think all these threads should have what timezone that is being talked about in subject. EUTZ shitting in USTZ threads and vice versa IS rather confusing and annoying tbh.
