Why?

There is an effective Marauder nerf every month these days. First, the Noctis came out, then salvage got nerfed, now bounties are being nerfed, AND Meta 0 drops are being eliminated.

Marauders are almost obsolete except for in wormholes.

They need a Boost.

Given how minerals prices have jumped from the proposed/expected changes, looting is most likely viable again (subject to your isk/lp conversion.) Meaning, it's probably worth it to grab all the meta-0 and drone poo loot you can right now before they go away, i.e. gun-mining is viable.


Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Looting is seriously profitable again and that´s what CCP has placed their bets.

Noctis is still the way to go ....

On a golem you dont have targeting slots or time to manage the tracktoring and salvaging too. The TP cycling volleycounting nuisance is enough.

Have those 2-4 sites done and then pop in on the noctis for some smooth and enjoyable salvaging/looting if the sites were BS heavy to make it worthwhile.

Marauders need a look at ... torpedoes need a look at.

You're doing it wrong. If you're flying a marauder, you should be looting/salvaging. Otherwise, there are better ships to fly for blitzing missions. If you stop blitzing to pilot a noctis, you're doing it wrong.

This "looting while shooting" concept is somehow not understandable for most missionrunners. Hence all those discussions "Vargur vs Mach" and Noctis makes Marauders obsolete etc.

For a single account player a Marauder is superior in terms of isk/h if he can utilize it to its full capabilities and doesnt fail at fittings. This involves training Multitasking to be able to lock up to 10 targets and be fast enough to tractor and loot/salvage while shooting npcs and advancing to the next room. Usually you easily manage to loot all the important wrecks (BS, BC, most cruisers) while not stopping your mission advance. The Golem is not the best choice there because of target painting, issues with frigates and torp range, I can agree on that.

So yeah, get in your marauders folks, or learn to fly them properly Lol

Personally I use a Nighthawk with AB and tractor beam, loot anything worth looting while I go. Works well enough, don't bother with salvage either.

Why bother? Lets ask CCP to nerf bounties 95% down, move missions to lowsec while locking them out completely, ask that incursions get nerfed down while increasing in size to region / takes 50% cut from all transactions including market / enforces PVP flag off so no shooty shooty make everyone cranky, remove all asteroid belts and hulks from the game while not reintroducing a new mineral source (as at this point, all sources will be gone) + miners don't get reinburstment for their now useless skill set, and Titans get buffed to act like frigs with XL guns that track warriors! Heck, lets get CCP to cause SP loss to every ship you lost not just T3 and remove medical clones while keeping SP loss. Then CCP doesn't even need to bother with marauders.

Sounds fun, lets just make the game even more unfun and affect everyone as a whole! Everyone gets treated the same this way.

Im usually flying my orca with logi Support anyway, since Im paranoid while hauling my loot.
I guess i Wont notice pirates more than i Do today. (They hurt from Time to time while ganking me in afk-mode)
