I've actively seen Amar, Minnie, and many many Caldari fleets but no Gallente?

They said they went to Messoya but we went there (twice) to find two lone frogs.

Yes.

I get to play around 3 hours a night at best between 02:00 and 05:00. In that time, if I stayed in the gallente/caldari warzone my night has the following options:

a) Run plexes uncontested for 3 hours. I've literally gone to the bathroom leaving my ship in Enaluri running a plex.
b) Roam the gal/cal fw areas. Generally, if I see a caldari gang they will wait long enough (5-10 minutes) to engage me that some other random gallente guy that is also roaming will pass by, reinforcing the "OMG BLOB CAME FOR US" mentality. Last I was there, I think at least 90% of my fights were just against neutrals.

Instead, I moved to eve unis lowsec base and have a ton of fun flying largely thrashers against a foe who's
a) Eager to fight
b) Fun to chat with
c) Blobs the hell out of me at every opportunity

It's like the golden era when Caldari ruled the pipes and Gallente fought a guerilla war. I miss those days, and I gain no enjoyment from "winning" the gallente/caldari war when the result is nothing to fight in my timezone.

So yes, I've given up on the gal/cal fw warzone. I have faint hopes that CCP would reinvigorate FW, but it looks like they're going to turn it into a "pve in plexes so you can pve more profitably in missions and don't set up any lowsec bases go back to basing in high sec like the old days of villore->tama since you can be locked out of stations". This is terrible: with the new proposed plexing mechanics, my reward for taking systems will be that it will be HARDER for the Caldari to come fight me, and woo I get to run missions!?!? That is a PUNISHMENT.

And before you start linking what other gallente pilots have to say, don't contrast any of SOTF's recent "we're not interested if it's not a vindicator". They're welcome to their opinion, but I love fights, the cheaper the ships the better (means less pve for both sides, and more pvp).

I think I've turned into a bittervet :|

Your post simply proves the whole idea that FW always sorts it self out when one side becomes far too out numbering of the other side. Caldari has avoided Gal blobs for quite some time now because Gallente always stay hurdled up in the same few systems as a group, something we couldn't fight head to head at the time.

Caldri being out numbered in active pilots changed up their tactics and our corps spread out across the map to fight more of a guerilla war & shoot neutrals/pies. Galentte responded with doing same thing they were already doing and that's live all grouped up so they can easily gank targets that show up in their 5 to 6 system gank zone.

Gallente start to get bored because Caldari aren't feeding them as many easy gank kills and start going AFK or doing other stuff. Much the same as many of Caldari did months ago when we were getting bored of the stale fight.

See FW has sort of a stale mate thing that has always allowed it to right it's self over time.. When one side gets to buffed up they become bored by having nothing to shoot. At that point they lose pilots and then the other side starts to swing back.

Perhaps working as intended?

Funny thing though that you claim you ship down to Thrashers to fight these other guys but when we brought out Thrashers or frigs you guys always brought cruisers & BC's.. Perhaps you might of had those fights from Caldari had you not tried to over ship & out blob everything all the time.

I wont say Caldari spreading all over was some tactical plan sorted out by anyone, it was just the natural response that came over time by guys that still wanted to fight for Caldari but knew they couldn't deal with always being out numbered. I don't know if it's good or bad in the end but either way as a Militia we are still very active just not with large fleets.

You Gallente have just failed to respond to what we have done and still expect Caldari to come to you and serve you PVP on a platter. Instead we now just pick your guys off in gank fashion much like you have done to us.

Most of what you wrote I agreed with, but I am interested in what corps/timezones you saw this in. I have not experienced this happenning in fleets I was a part of (I'd being out dessie fleets to fight bolsters gangs, and I'd bring a lone battlecruiser against a gang of thrashers).

And about spreading out: I agree a lot of gallente stayed turtled, but those that did go out and spread out as well often had larger caldari gangs wait long enough to engage that it was inevitable that someone else would wander by who was also trying to spread out.

It would be great if I saw this happen at all: But when I was still in the gal/cal warzone a month ago I would roam all the way up to sarenemi though the kinakka area, all the way up to Hasama as well to try and find these gank gangs that might hunt gallente mission runners. And I was in a drake, easy to catch for gank gangs, but the very few caldari gangs I ever did see would have no interest in engaging.

TBH Chatgris, I hate fighting the drakes at the moment. They are all nano and you need 4 webs on it to actually kill the thing, because the first tackler will die. If I see Nexx out in a drake I just decide to stay away, its not worth losing so many ships to a lone drake. Not that it wont die but not worth it.

We have been roaming like crazy lately and with different fleets. We have taken armor bcs, assult frig gangs, t1 cruiser fleets you name it, and nothing has been available to kill except pies.

We roam from around 0100-0400ish

The first tackler will probably die, but if you go into a fight looking to lose nothing, the only fights you get are boring ganks. (Also, you just need 1 scram, no webs! ).

And to back it up, here's a lossmail where only 4 thrashers took out my drake. Both sides lost about the same amount of ISK, and the winners took the loot. If you're not willing to fight where *both side lose the same amount of ISK* then I don't think you're looking for fights at all: you're just looking for easy ganks.

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=15401513

And on a tanget:

And this is where I think eve uni has it up on the caldari gangs - they don't care about losing a frig or two to kill a BC. It's a profitable trade in ISK destroyed, and ISK wise after you collect loot. I actually fear eve uni gangs more than caldari gangs when they are of equal size, because the eve uni gang *has no fear*. When fighting the caldari, it's almost like when you turn on your MWD you can hear them say "ahh nano we're going to die" and they just leave.

Personally I am just sick and tired of s..t posting which more or less ensues after all such events (in local or forums) where gallente would high-five himself that "Lol, I killed a ship despite being blobbed, I rulez". I simply do not consider giving such pleasure to morons like you (having accused me of exploiting years ago) worth the hassle.

Chatgris its not a "fear of losing isk" Im the last to care. Its the...meh another solo nanodrake trying to pick off the tackeler and run away. Im not saying it isnt a legit way of fighting. Im just saying I wont entertain a lone drake anymore because its not worth the time to try and pin him down. If he jumps through a gate sure we fight it, but Im not going to take a fleet and run after him.

No one lives up in those back end Caldari systems aside from random neutrals. Their are Caldari that live in Enal & Rak which are of course the usual blob zone but there are a few other groups living around the map down around Heyidlies as well as other systems in that area. (Hell I tried to get a few Calari corps to join up and have us move to OMS but none would do it...)

Granted a lot of us live in high sec Black Rise such as my corp, but we live there because it lets us move around the larger gangs with ease. I can pop into low sec with in 2 jumps to 3 separate systems in Black Rise or go a few more jumps to enter around Mara or over by Tama.

I just go by what I see on the kill boards TBH and I see a lot of smaller gang stuff going on day in and out. The guys running plexes for example always seem to be getting kills of various things.

We roam all over the pipes when we take our gangs out, mostly into Gal space. (when I say we I mean my corp) Now in all honesty when we have our Thrashers out, we are really just looking to gank stuff. I mean we can kill a Tornado in about 10 seconds with a handful or Thrashers so it's not like I really consider that a fight or anything.

The Drakes as a corp are still new for most of our guys so I tend to be careful what we engage just because I have a lot of new guys so I have to try to figure out what we are capable of fighting. Added to this I'm not just going to welp them being they are pretty damn pricey these days specially for our newer guys that can't make ISK as easily as I can for instance.

IMO even for Gals there is a lot of action to be had because I always see Caldari guys out roaming the pipes, it's just you have to be willing to go out in smaller groups. Few nights ago we took out 5 Drakes & had to spend half our time running from some gang of Gallente that had 12 or 15 guys as well as hiding from a Shadow Cartel gang that numbered about 20.

In fact just about every time we have taken out a gang recently it seems we cross paths with either Shadow Cartel, Scum, Hydra Reloaded or some other group roaming the pipes. Was 2 different BS gangs around last night + a 15 man Shadow Cartel gang.

Meaning even for your bigger gangs there are fights to be had..You guys just don't seem to be interested in taking them.

You must not look at our KB as we do that quite often.. we just try to not fight in our pods as much as EVE Uni guys do.. 8)

We suck to much to insta lock interceptors & half the frigs that we come across but we are more than willing to have at it with cruisers, BC's & so on while in frigs/dessies. It just has to be a do-able fight..

Example I'm not chasing after a dual webbd nanno Drake that already has range.. However if we can get scram or webs on it then hell yea. Same as I tend to be cautious vs Hurricanes as they can often be tricky when you are in Frigs/desies if you don't get scram on them right away and even then their med neuts can do bad things.
