who else peed their pants in sheer excitement when they saw the prometheus trailer?

The U.S. Navy has developed a railgun that can hit a target the size of a watermelon from about 200km away.  its probably around 8,000 years in the future, we can go faster then light, be immortal, teleport capital ships, communicate instantly, mine asteroids and make ships invisible, yet still our railguns can't even hit a massive spaceship over 100km....

Being a huge Alien fan I am intrigued. It will finally give us an insight into the mysterious alien on the craft that was seen in the first movie. Not only that but it feels like Scott Ridley is sticking to the old school feel of the original (unlike the abominations of Alien 3 and 4. I really hate it when they mutate the alien too much).

Ridley Scott.

Trailer looks really good. Prequel wasn't exactly needed, but when are they ever?

Anyway, it will be better than Alien III and IV.

Read the script, feels like a very bitty film. I think most of the bits will be better than others.

It is Alien with more CGI, it can be great but it can also be absolute ****.

It's not set on LB426.
It's not the same craft.

I have only played the first game and never bothered too much with getting 2 and 3, but I am curious about the end of number 3, which is said to be terrible. It may only not be as bad as to buy the game for a laugh and to see for myself. Is there some place where I can read about its ending?

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

This is a pretty good summation of the various grievances. If you're looking for tears, rage and trolling about the topic, just go read bioware ME3 story forum section.

The film itself revolves around the Space Jockey creature; as seen in the original film ALIEN (1979). When the team of scientists embark on this journey, they get stranded on an Alien world which tests their limits; both mental and physical.

I never said it was the same craft, I said it will give us an insight into the alien that was on the craft, the one manning the cannon.

Many thanks. That is a good read. I laughed at the description of the ending being like going from Star Wars to 2001: A Space Odyssey. It must have hurt badly...
