CCP said that inflation was at acceptable levels in a devblog that someone can link i'm sure. Go get a few friends and train mining 4 and go light up some asteroids. Then sell them at acceptable prices to you. They will probably be bought up quickly. Do that enough with enough volume and the price will drop.

They said that before the mad inflation started. But right now we are seeing both inflation and speculation which when combined result in crazy pricesBig smile

Nope, OP is perfectly right.
Now seems to be a great time to take a break from eve for at least two months or more.

I also had planed to resub my alt this month.
But with CCP trying to systematically pee in about every sand castle during the next 2-3 months, I´d be a crazy mofo.

Mining & ship building isn't any more profitable now than it was 6 months ago on average. It's wasn't just ship prices that increased the minerals increased as well. With the rapid price increases in some cases you can buy ships & reprocess them to profit.

Miners & ship builders might be selling their items for more ISK but it doesn't mean they are making any more profit than they did in the past aside from maybe random items that spike faster than the average, but I'd suspect it's not miners & builders getting those profits but rather market guys.

mining and building is profitable in the long run. i make about 1.5bisk a month from mining and building. Low for 1 month, but its **** easy to do and pays for my accounts with money left over to pew. you can earn way more doing other stuff.

Wait, so what you're saying is that inflation is having no effect on your at all, right? Why are you complaining?

How about this one: Mine 100 units sell them get 200 mil buy a BPO whose price has NOT changed, build the ship yourself then fly it/sell it to other players.

Ahh no, you're stuck in this model: Kill a rat, get 1/2 the bounty you used to get a month ago due to the bounty nerf, pay twice as much for ships thanks to inflation.

I think CCP is trying to tell you something.
