Faction Warfare - doing missions with SB advice

For the last couple of days, I tried to do missions level 4 with the FW amarr but I didn't succeed much. Most npc's would use a target painter on me and with their speed, they would catch up on me and then proceed to slowly eat my shields. Either I need to warp out and warp in again but unfortunately this was done multiple times. So I'm wondering if I missed something and if someone would be able to help me out with those missions

Here is my setup which I feel is not the one I should use

[Hound, FW mission
Ballistic Control System I
Micro Auxiliary Power Core
Co-Processor I

Experimental 1MN Afterburner
Medium Shield Extender I
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Scrip

Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Javelin Torped
Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Javelin Torped
Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Javelin Torped
[empty high slot
Covert Ops Cloaking Device I

Small Rocket Fuel Cache Partition
Small Hydraulic Bay Thrusters

Since they eat through my shields I tought of using an Shield booster....what do you guys think

[Hound, fw mission shield booster type
Ballistic Control System I
[empty low slot
Damage Control I

Medium Azeotropic Ward Salubrity
Experimental 1MN Afterburner
Small C5-L Emergency Shield Overload

Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Rage Torped
Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Rage Torped
Torpedo Launcher II, Nova Rage Torped
Covert Ops Cloaking Device I
[empty high slot

Small Ancillary Current Router
Small Capacitor Control Circuit

Note: of course I could use faction mods since they are cheap. I'm just stating the "basic" mods first.

Train a Vigil alt for pulling full aggro and speed tank them. Orbit something at long range.

This should work and won't take very long at all to train:
[Vigil, Speed tank lol]

Hello Pilots, I am planing to do the same, my main in a Purifier SB and this char in a Vigil running lvl 4 FW missions for the Minmatar Militia.

My noob questions are:

Wouldn't it be better to use an Afterburner because of sig bloom with MWD and also a long range weapon for getting Aggro, since with 125 autos you have to fly very close and then run?
FW Amarr NPC's are shooting lasers (missiles too?), I am a bit afraid that the Vigil get the occasional hit and with no shield defence it will go down very fast..
Would a cloak be helpful on this fast ship to avoid Gatecamps?
Are there other suggestions for an alt speed aggro tanker ship and fitting?

First Post ever btw, and please excuse my language, I am a stupid German.

Thanks in advance for your polite guidance!

You need a battle ship or cruiser to pull Argo then you can have a blast did this with a friend to good success a few times.

Thanks for the reply Ace, but sending a BS to Low Sec is not an option for my dual boxed sisters. My main Norisha North has around 22 Mil SP and is just become able to solo any normal lvl 4 mission quite comfortably . But I definitively don't want to run boring lvl 4s to finance Low Sec Battleship losses atm.

I am in a kind of reorientation phase, since I refused real playing between Incarna and Crucible and only went "On and Off" this great game for informational entertainment (btw the most interesting and entertaining community, who needs TV-Shows when you can read this forums and the excellent blogs out there?) and some training. My old high Sec Corp had disintegrated, haven' t found a new one yet and I am desperately looking for new and exiting content.

So I like to poke my nose into FW missions in Low Sec and thought that learning not to get killed, making good bookmarks and earn some LP's would be a good start to get experience with this fascinating but hostile environment and can be handled solo as long as my sisters are corpless.

I like covops, both chars have acceptable skills in it but Nooki is primary non combat skilled so frigs and covops are the only options on her side atm.

That's why I said or cruiser, with an AB fit it should speed tank most of the room once all the frigs and cruisers are dead a Vexor would probably do well at this role.

I can personally tell you that a purifier is not enough for FW missions from an amarr agent. Those minnie NPC ships seems to have big resists on them. I tried it with a manticore and a hound using their respective type of torpedoes and it works fine... just not with the purifier.

Also, with the afterburner I can confirm you that it's not enough. With good navigation skills even if you go above 750m/s it is not enough for the NPC's they will catch you no matter what. And if there close enough to you they will do more dmg as they are closer to you and you will not have enough options in order to survive. I'm wondering if a MWD will work because of the sig boost you get. I could try that for sure.

Also, I was thinking of going solo, not using an alt (im not rich lol...wife is stealing my wallet...******* whore). I do use friends from time to time but with the Amarr it is very different from the Caldari FW missions...so that's why I need help.

Also, it seems to me that the hound here as more survivability only because of the distance you start when you attack your target. I got around 100km for my torpedo to fly to so this leaves me enough room to kite, kill my target and go away but it's not all the time...

Am I reading this correctly but I seem to understand that an alt is the only solution to FW amarr missions ?

MWD wont work as Minmatar FW rats use missiles too - the sig bloom will kill you...

Thanks for your comments, but there seem to be a bit of misunderstanding. We are proud Minmatar sisters and as such we will shurely shoot only this preaching bastards ;). That's why Norisha, my main, trained for the purifier SB as her hound does the wrong damage type to the Ammar NPC's.

Since Nooki doesn't have proper missile skills atm (she is my scanning and industry alt) I thought I can go into the mission get aggro and then orbit @ 100 km so my purifier can kill the mission objective untouched. Later on I plan to use both chars with Stealth Bombers.

Most Amarr lvl 4s can be done solo in this. Not all, but most.

Edit: needs the 5% PG implant by the way

Uppsy enlighten a noob please.

Even with not perfect skills my Purifier targets around 72 klicks. My torps are running out of fuel at 56 km, so why should I fit a signal amp?

Thanks.

Because with that ftting and perfect skills your torps will be going further, nearer 80km.

Both of the rigs are +15% range. One is flight time, one is missile velocity.

Also, Hound has lower base targetting range than Purifier.

If your skills do not allow your torps to go this far you need to train them up before trying lvl4s in this.

Ops sorry. Just checked. With this fitting I reach 70 klicks with my torps. No implant needed.
