When i bought em, i was under the impression they survived Pod death. RE: http://eve-search.com/thread/1570396/page/1 and many other threads.

However, i was recently podded lighting a t1 cyno frig and whooosh! no mone speed goggles!? I petitioned and was told it was an "Intended game mechanic".

So, with these new mechanics i think you've actually managed to put off one of the seemingly few supporters of nex, i have no use for nex **** that'll vanish with my pod - i'm not a carebear.

Excellent, if true.

Then they might finally actually become part of the market, and the NeX have the first traces of a purpose.

Assets search turns up nothing, trust me i've looked.

Heres the strange part though, They still appear to be on in CQ, however they are removed and NOT available in Re-Customization

while of course I'm not a fan of nex crap, I think if ccp promised something, the onus is on you to keep up to date regarding an unpopular design decision you've engaged inRoll

Yep, thats what i get for having a little faith in ccp lol

I mean really? You flat out say Indestructible, all over the forums, and then reverse that silently? I really hope you expect to refund everyone who bought them on the premise that they were indestructible as you claimed them to be, And don't mean just reimburse the goggles i mean reimburse the PLEX originally used to obtain them because there's no way people will buy any NEX items that they cant freely use - this stuff is effectively useless... even in vanity terms.

Did you check after downtime again?

Destructible = good.
pack of 50 or more at current AUR cost = better

If theres any way to paste eve-kill links in eve forums that would be great ty

The kill was long before downtime, its still missing. I petitioned after the loss and the GM specifically said it was an Intended Game Mechanic I'd quote and post screenshots but i'd get banned.

Grats on the kill though i guess =p

With the lore of the EVE universe in mind, it is completely idiotic for them to survive a pod pop. If CCP implemented this then it is a lore sound decision.

EDIT: Did the goggles show up on the kill mail in the list of destoyed items?

Thats completely fine. If thats what they wanted to do with it they should have. However, they should NOT have told everyone they were INDESTRUCTABLE and then silently reverse that. If they want to reverse it, refund all the people who bought them because they were indestructable.

If i had any idea they would be blown up, i'd have never paid for anything out of that NEX store - I have no use for any of it with these "Game Mechanics"

That sounds like a bug. They should either be there, or gone, not partly one way and partly the other. If its still that way after a down time, bug report it. Screen shot yourself in CQ with them, and in re-customization without them, and describe how they got bugged.

Your attitude of "Ill not use it if it is destructible" it exactly why CCP made them indestructible. Or as I prefer to think of it: Your clothes are stored in the pod, and when the pod pops, a scan of your mind and your clothes is made, and both are reconstructed at your clone station. In other words, your worn clothes are destroyed when you get podded, you just get free replacements.

To be fair, if true, this would be a return to the original design as it was first described (and “promised”, if you like).

Again, if true, welcome to CCP Communication… and lolno, that's just a classic case of caveat emptor.

Yeah, i really dont care what RP/Reasoning they make up to describe the mechanic, I just paid for these under the impression they wouldnt blow up - and now they do. So i should be given a special pair that never die - like the ones i PAID FOR - or you give me back my money.

RP/Reasoning: You're a ******* store and are illegally making false claims about your products. CONCORD should shut NeX Down, liquidate their assets and reimburse those who suffered losses from your scamming business model.

If the NEX item is in your cargo hold it can very well go *POP* and make an interesting line on a killmail Twisted. On the other hand if you are wearing the item it should reappear on your character when your medical clone is activated.

Have you tried playing with the recustomization feature (The mirror in the CQ or the button on the station panel) and see if you can "remove" the goggles and have them show up in your inventory? I would do this and update your petition with any information you find to help sort out the problem.

I still see them on your avatar's portrait so it appears that you are still wearing them even after the pod loss. Although I haven't looked into your account so I can't tell you if that is an old image, new one, or a glitch. The GMs will be able to do that for you.

Too good to be true.

Must be a bug compounded with GM's poor knowledge of newer game design details.
