Though they may be rather dated a lot of the Rooks and Kings videos show how important neut's can be in a battle.

Wormholes have the best accoustics. It's known. - Sing it for me -

Leaving out the capacitor kind of negates any argument.

passives don't need a buff...they give enough benefits.

they give cap stable fits with less effort. You can't remove cap from this....not possible. Use eft, replace any active hards with passive and assuming some effort put into skills for cap (to include electronics for 5% per lever reduction in cap use for items, not just engineering) and you should see that with passives you get close to if not cap stable with less power mods/rigs or they are in fact just not needed anymore.

Even 1 less CCC is one more rig for something better. Shooty rig, tanky rig,...whatever floats your boat.

1 less pdu, 1 more gyro/bcu/te. Or another passive resist for tank if desired.

remove cap booster, add mid of choice. Shield tanker, shield passive amp ftw if tank wanted.

My tengu I fly on one chare for example used to need CCC for cap stable. Even with passives. Now....its a useless rig I need to thkn about finding something better to run. Hit my engineer skills hard, thats the payoff. I wanted better resists....I spurng for gist B's passives which give a nice resist profile imo. Just at level 4 (where I am at now on the tengu pilot).

I am theorycrafting loki's (armour and shield) . Passive resists both flavors ae cap stable or close enough no CCC no power mods.

Leave out the capacitor factor. It seems that even if you achieve the armor compensations at lvl V, actives are still just slightly better.

Leaving out the capacitor, why should you ever choose passive specific hardeners over active? If the answer is "You shouldn't ever", then should that be changed? (AKA, do passive specific hardeners deserve a buff)

Capacitor and of course because Gallente being ****** to absolete ships to fly before you have a good bunch of lvl 5 skills, if you get neuted active tank means you just loose all your tank, passive one, if you had 125K EHP full cap, you'll still have 125K after being neuted.

Problem being that you need more slots and of course once again the stacking penalty doesn't like armor at all unless you fit faction or dead space/officer mods.
Training your passive resists up to 5 when armor tank is not an option, you have to while with shields being mostly active you don't see any difference after lvl3

OP what you're saying is basically "Broken glass is free and sofas are expensive. If you ignore that broken glass hurts like a ************ to sit on, what advantage does a sofa have?".

Engineering and electronics have nothing to do with cap. those are your CPU and PG skills. The skills that you're thinking of are energy management and energy systems operation.
